Little Bears Preschool
The Little Bears Preschool program is based on the philosophy of developmental learning through discovery, an approach based on respect for each child as an individual, as well as on a sensitivity to each child's way of learning. Children learn, grow and acquire skills as they play. They increase their creativity and understanding at their own pace.

Our Castle Rock preschool program offers an integration of developmentally appropriate education, whole language learning and school readiness to help children feel good about themselves, master new skills, and develop a healthy desire to learn. The Center's curriculum is designed to incorporate learning in all areas of development - spiritual, intellectual, social, physical and emotional - through active involvement in play.
Services
Little Bears is a place for children to grow, develop, and blossom. Each child is individually loved, cared for, and taught by Ms. Shelley and Ms. Kathleen. They are encouraged to laugh, learn, explore, and enjoy their earliest days in a classroom setting. Children are prepared for kindergarten, and are given foundational skills to help them in life.
Tonja and I are impressed with the education and experience Madison is receiving with Little Bears! She comes home all the time with amazing facts on topics from baby chickens and nutritional insight, to the Milky Way and all points between. We especially love what she is learning about God and Jesus, it ties in so well with what we are trying to give her in our home.

Wow what an amazing year! My daughter loves Little Bears and learned so much in her year here. Shelley and Kathleen have a creative way of teaching children through play. They make learning fun and have creative and engaging projects. One of my daughter's favorites was Clifford. Each week a different child got to bring Clifford (stuffed animal) home with them and document their experiences in a journal. Not only was it fun to bring Clifford home but my daughter loved writing about what she did with Clifford as well as sharing her stories with the class. Shelley and Kathleen also focus on use of

I attended Little Bears Pre-School, but still wanted to make sure it would be a good fit for my first child. Our son had never been in the care of anyone but family, so I wanted a really warm environment where I could trust the teachers fully. After our visit I knew this would be the place. Over the last two school years I have seen them care for my child as much as I do, they are always informing us of what they see, helping set great examples for behavior we have now implemented in our home and have taught my son so many wonderful skills! My second will be attending Little Bears in August and

We are getting ready to start our second year at Little Bear after a wonderful first year. Our daughter had never been in a group setting and was very timid, but the teachers really helped (both) our nerves, and the transition to school was seamless.
Little Bear is an amazing preschool with an owner and teachers who are passionate about the enrichment and education of children. They foster an environment that is loving, warm and safe. They cover an incredible range of activities from songs to stories to art, all in a play-based curriculum. The classroom is so thoughtfully prepared with changing

Mrs. Shelley and Mrs. Kathleen were my daughter's teacher two years ago. I found the preschool through word of mouth and I am so thankful I did. IT was THE BEST year to date for my daughter's education. She learned more with them then she did for Kindie! They care deeply for education but also for developing deep lasting relationships. Kathleen and I are still good friends, and when we have more kids, there is no reason I would choose any other place!

Shelley was a great teacher for my kiddo (2013/14) and the atmosphere at Little Bears was small town and personal. Your kid will be known and know they are loved at Little Bears. Some of the highlights we enjoyed were the kids being able to take walking field trips; police station, fire station, library, bakery and they were able to hatch butterflies, and chickens, as well as see other critters first hand. Shelley does a great job of making learning exciting and the kids learn good socialization skills too. Great job Little Bears! We loved it!
