Are you dealing with post-surgery pain, the aftermath of an accident, or chronic pain? People often settle for common pain management options, without careful consideration from their pain doctors. That's where Greater Austin Pain Center differs. Dr. Alan Silberberg and his team take a multidisciplinary approach to pain management.

Recommendations from our team only come after thoroughly listening to your medical history. Greater Austin Pain Center takes a friendlier approach to your pain symptoms and management, with careful consideration for your wellbeing. We provide lasting pain relief, backed by modern research and techniques.
Services
Dr. Alan Silberberg obtained his undergraduate degree from Duke University and medical degree at Wake Forest University School of Medicine in North Carolina. He completed his anesthesiology residency in 2009 and fellowship training in 2010 at the highly regarded University of California in San Diego.
Our friendly staff at Greater Austin Pain Center welcomes your call and looks forward to serving you. If you have any questions about our pain management services, please call our office at 512-298-1645. To schedule an appointment, you can call us or use our secure online appointment request form. Prescriptions and refills for established patients of Greater Austin Pain Center are routinely issued during our regular office hours (see below).
At Greater Austin Pain Center, we believe that you should not have to suffer with chronic pain. The doctors at Greater Austin Pain Center are highly trained in the latest methods of pain management and will customize a treatment plan that provides lasting pain relief.

No two people experience pain in the same way, so pain management is a highly individual course of treatment that may incorporate several approaches to relieve or eliminate your pain and improve your overall quality of life.
At Greater Austin Pain Center, one of our areas of expertise is dealing with arthritic joints. Arthritis is actually a term for a group of over 100 diseases that affects the muscular and skeletal systems, causing joint pain, stiffness, immobility, and swelling. It alters joint cartilage - the tough, shock-absorbing material that covers the ends of many of our bones.
Back pain, especially lower back pain, is unfortunately common. Muscle, ligament, nerve, and spine injuries are frequent causes of this pain. Additionally, poor posture, degenerative diseases like arthritis, and regular wear and tear can also cause back pain. At Greater Austin Pain Center, we carefully identify the root causes of every patient's pain and find personalized solutions.

Sometimes things can naturally get a little rushed, but today Dr. Bednar took the time to answer all of our questions, talk over options, and suggest plan of action. Plus handled things from changing prescriptions to license tags .We've got a pretty complicated case, and it was really appreciated. Thanks.

She always cares about her patients and actually listens to your concerns in your life. I personally love seeing her and feel like she’s family. Sometimes there are some miscommunications but it’s only because she does really care about her patients.

Didn't have to wait very long to see Dr Jarzombek. She sat and discussed my issues, and answered my questions about getting a fusion, and whether it was advisable at this time or not. We agreed to do a procedure I have never done next week when I could look at my calendar and set it up. I feel better about where I am at this point with my back issues.

Dr. Jarzombek is very proactive in treating your pain. She and the rest of the staff are very willing to look for solutions to your pain, whether that is a procedure or medication. However, they never push you into it. They respect the patient's opinion. They have helped me very much with my chronic pain conditions.

All of the providers at Greater Austin Pain are fantastic. Randi and Liz really listen, and look for solutions and options that treat your specific issues. The office staff is kind, knowledgeable and always helpful. Dr. Bednar is amazing with injections and other treatments, he talks you through everything, and it’s done before you know it. My first visit to this clinic was with Dr Jarzombek. She was friendly and seemed helpful. Unfortunately, I never saw her again. I'm a patient on disability with autoimmune issues and three serious pain disorders. We recently moved to Austin from Chicago, where I had the same doctor for over 6 years. He was compassionate, and spent hours trying to help me get better. At this clinic, I felt like they weren't interested in helping me. I only saw a nurse, who was not qualified to deal with my issues. For months I showed up to my appointments on time, paid my bills, and followed the treatment

Just got my first epidural in my neck and let me say I was so nervous about it until I walked into the office. The front desk ladies are so amazing, sweet and helpful. And the same with Kristen and all her staff in the back, they made me feel 100% comfortable the entire time. Thank you!

Dr. Bednar is an incredibly caring doctors in all facets. Always has a smile, too. He is incredibly knowlagable and will explain anything if you ask, so don't be shy. The team around Dr. Bednar and Dr. Silberberg are very professional, polite, and mindful. Sometimes I wish they would kind of slow down, but if I bring a list of things I want to discuss and questions I have then no problem. I know they have a lot of people to help. Clean offices also. Never had a problem- exept for a bruise from an I.V.

I thought I would give this doctors office another try after two and half years. I scheduled an an appointment two weeks ago and today after waiting twenty five minutes on a virtual hold I get a call from Alex informing me that he wasn't going to see today or anytime in the future because I had a problem with his office in the past. Apparently I still have a problem with his office. (They were suppose to call me fifteen minutes prior to the appointment with a link to the Virtual appointment. I had to call them. The young lady had to resend the link and of course take a payment). I asked why

After an accident which rattled my head and neck severely, I was recommended to visit Dr. Silberberg. Ive been incredibly impressed with the treatment I've received. The medication and treatment at the hospital from my original night of the accident did me no good and Alan Silberberg truly listened to my explanation of pains and discomforts and has since helped me drastically reduce the frequency and severity of the pains. He even went above and beyond to recommend me to a great chiropractor!

The staff are not nice and inconsiderate to the deaf patients. They refused to provide a sign language interpreter to communicate with deaf patients. They said we can read and write in the notes. Deaf patients do not write good English and their best communication mode is sign language. I am stunned when I asked the scheduler for an interpreter for our appointment. They asked me to bring my own interpreter. Huh? They violated the ADA rights. I have told them that I will contact ADA about this issue. Shame on you, Jesse Ramirez and Gabriel Davila.

I sadly found this clinic to be rigidly uncaring and unhelpful. It appears they are more interested in providing high dollar procedures than low cost empathy and caring. I have been to one other pain clinic years ago and I was very happy with their professionalism and caring. Unfortunately I wasn't able to get I to see them quickly for my recent pain episode. This clinic was able to see me quickly. I wish I could have waited. I do not recommend this clinic.

My mother saw Dr Silberberg today and liked him a lot. He recommended injections for her, which we are very willing to do. Unfortunately, no one told us before the appointment that treatments are performed in Kyle! Our current situation will is not conducive to driving to Kyle if she needs more than one injection, which is likely because she's been through this before.

When we were making the appointment we were asked whether we wanted to go to the Kyle office or SW Austin. We chose SW Austin. That would have been the perfect time for someone to give us a heads up on the possible need

I grew up in Texas the son of a scientist, and was raised in an intellectually rich environment in which reading, research, facts and truth were held in high regard--in direct contrast to the astounding horror of our age in which the current power structure of idiot-based disinformation has allowed the term "alternative facts" to leak into our lexicon. I inherited what I call my father's Query Engine Mind, which has served me well in becoming a writer and a published author whose non-fiction book on UFOs has been selling steadily on Amazon for five years on April 9th.

Dr Silberberg is a wonderful person. He engages with his patients to make them feel at ease. Encourages you to participate in his/her plan of care. Elizabeth Marquez is very good with her patients. Doesn't treat you like "well she is 62 therefore she must be confused. Treating a senior with respect and dignity is all so heartwarming.

Dr. Silberberg and his entire staff have been nothing but fantastic they treat me with respect from the ladies at the front desk to the ladies in the back. Paula and Chelsea are just wonderful and deserve a big pat on the back even with being pregnant Paula still motors on and Chelsea is the one stick wonder as she always finds my vein and inserts the IV with no issues. I have had quite a bit of injections and can't complain about anything. Next is my messed up neck so I hope they are ready for me. My wife also brings her crazy humor to the staff as she is a patient as well great Job Austin

I always look forward to my appointment with Dr. Silberberg. He is always in good spirits and makes me feel welcome. He listens to my concerns and if he is available to take care of what ever pain issues I'm having at the time of my appointment, he will do so. For example this last visit on Tuesday 8/21 my right elbow had been hurting due to over use, so he recommended an anti inflammatory injection which he was able to do so right there in the office. I like quick fixes, instead of being suffering in pain and discomfort. The shot has really helped. My elbow is no longer hurting. He also

I went to Dr. Silberberg for a second opinion on chronic low back pain that I had been receiving treatment by another doctor for 3 years with poor results. I knew at my 1st visit with Dr. Silberberg that he was my new pain management doctor going forward. Within 2 months under his treatment plan I was virtually pain free! He has and is treating me for other issues now with great results.

I trust Dr. Silberberg and his staff. Everyone has been great (informative, patient and kind). Highly recommend!

Dr. Silberberg is amazing. Went to see him for upper back / neck pain thinking it was just spasmed muscles or pulled muscles to get injection therapy and within 2 minutes he explained it was actually an impinged nerve in my neck causing it all, and sees it all the time. I felt relief and really impressed with his professionalism and expertise, and I've seen a lot of pain doctors in the past. No mention of trying to dope up on pain meds (which I won't take as they don't solve the issue). Scheduled for epidural nerve block which he said he does all the time and I'm super happy

I first consulted with Dr. Silberberg after months of increasingly debilitating pain from arthritis, bone spurs and stenosis in my neck vertebra that left me unable to sleep or ever be pain free, so I was getting desperate for relief.

From the get go, Dr. Silberberg proved to be extremely friendly, personable, and real ... he understands what it means to live with chronic pain, and he wants to help.

First we tried some medications, which did work on and off for awhile, then when the pain returned, we agreed that the next step should be a series of three epidurals in my neck, the last of which
