Capitol Pain Institute
Capitol Pain Institute works with each patient to find the best individualized treatment plan for your pain. Together we build a comprehensive plan that helps our patients reduce their pain and suffering while regaining lost functionality. Our integrative and comprehensive pain management approach combines cutting-edge research with well-grounded methodology to optimize patient care.

Our doctors and nurse practitioners understand that treating a patient is a blend of diagnosing the physical disorder as well as addressing the mental suffering. We have one goal in mind - get you back to the life you love. Most headaches can be treated with a pain reliever, however severe head pain can signal a dangerous or serious medical problem.
Services
We want to help you live your life to the fullest. During your first visit, our doctors will spend time understanding your condition, your lifestyle, and the type of treatments that you feel comfortable pursuing. We will carefully assess you and deliver a precise diagnosis so we can develop the best plan to alleviate your pain.

Dr. Matthew Schocket is a great doctor, who truly cares and listens to his patients. I was cared for by him and his team. I was able to walk after surgery, when a year prior I was in constant pain, unable to enjoy life. He gave me hope and I appreciate his service and knowledge. I recommend Capitol Pain institute!!

I had my first appointment today with Dr.Church. Having recently moved from Dallas I was in need of a pain management doctor. The experience I had with Dr.Church and his team was great. He explained treatment options and he came up with a plan that fits my needs. Being an old man that has had more than my fair share of Doctors over the years this visit was at the top. I highly recommend Dr.Church.

I came here for the Axon treatment this morning and after the first treatment I was able to feel a difference in my pain level. The staff here are so professional and courteous, and attentive to your needs. They care about you, not just the patient, but you the person and I was highly impressed. They took the time to carefully explain each procedure and what to expect. I have been to other pain management organizations, and what I experienced was how to mask the problem with opioid therapy, rather than finding the source of my pain and then a solution. Here at Capital pain Institute, they were

Oh my goodness! If you’re looking for a pain clinic, look no further- seriously! This place is very nice- Shoutout to Dr. Church, what a kind, extremely smart, and understanding doctor. I have only had one appointment, and the staff has been so sweet and helpful.
I was diagnosed with Crohn’s Disease in April, and it has really knocked me down. I have joint pain that is indescribable, and can barely walk most days.
I tried a different pain clinic before landing here with Dr. Church, and wish I would’ve started care with him in the first place! They have such a beautiful office as well!

Dr.Amasha is very firm but gentle and kind at the same time. He answers questions and listens to the answers. While I know and understand I am his patient but he treats me like a person, and individual. His staff is the top-of-the-line. They are kind, courteous and very responsive. I drive 3 hours to see him and I wouldn't change for a more convenient distance. Most important he is a very good doctor. I have cut pain Rx by 2/3ds.
I can move again, go fishing & work in my garden😁!

I saw Dr. Blauzvern in 2017 for a very, very painful sciatica issue in my left hip and leg. He imploded a cyst, that was the culprit, with an injection of dye. He kept me out of surgery, walking without a cane, and PAIN FREE!
I saw Dr. Blauzvern again today after an MRI showed a new cyst that had established itself on my right side, resulting in another very, very painful sciatica issue. Being the professional that he is, Dr. Blauzvern fully explained to me (in laymen terms) that it was not safe for him to initiate the same procedure that he performed in 2017. He did however, prescribe some medicine

I saw Dr. Cowen in Georgetown today with her assistant, Lauri. I was pleasantly surprised that she was a woman and not a man. She was very thorough and down to earth. She cracked a few jokes with us and made me feel as ease, even though she was a new doctor to us. I was impressed with how prepared she was about my husband’s Mri and her treatment plan moving forward. She’s a sweetheart.
