Services
Needles and Pins is in the heart of downtown Hopatcong, between Hudson Maxim Elementary School and the River Styx Bridge, about a quarter mile from Lake Hopatcong. A long time Hopatcong resident, owner Lynne St. Angelo learned to sew as a child. In it's formative years, she ran her budding sewing business out of a spare room of her house.
Please note: Our turnaround times vary depending on the complexity of each project and how busy we are. If you need alterations for a special occasion, please bring in your item at least two weeks before you want to pick it up. We offer rush service for an additional fee. Monogrammed towels for newlyweds, personalized sports bags for the team, your company logo on staff shirts.
We have the machines and expertise to sew anything from bridal to business wear and even leather. It is a rare occasion that we find something we cannot sew! Our turnaround times vary depending on the complexity of each project and how busy we are. Most repairs take about a week. Extensive repairs, custom work and formal wear takes longer.

Lynn has helped me on numerous occasions. She recently hemmed my bridesmaids dress for my sister wedding. that turned out perfect. And her most Memorable work was on my daughters christening gown that she recreated from my 36 year old christening gown and my lace wedding dress. It was beautiful and so special to repurpose for a special occasion! She also customized my husbands baby bonnet from his to be a little more frilly/lace and turned out adorable! She even added in a little bib! Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a seamstress!

Being new to the area. I found this business open for another hour. Drivinv by. I see what looks like the owner going in. I get out to walk in about a foot of snow because it hadnt been shoveled.. I knock. Owner I guess opens the door. Without a mask on and rudely says we are closed. I let her know website says 6pm. She wanted zero ineraction with me. I explained. All I needed was a quick sew down the side of the shirt.. She makes a face and lets me know shes open tomorrow.. I ask what time. Barks 10am.

Unbelievable! My only child passed away couple years ago and always wanted a sibling. This year I was blessed with a second chance. I dropped off my daughters favorite tops to make into a quilt for her new baby sister 6months prior to her arrival.
The owner/business is so unprofessional. After 3 months they have not started anything and couldnt have the decency to call with any type of updates. When i called the lady says she didnt even know if it could be done in another 2 months time.
I called several times afterwards to confirm a cancellation BUT the owner never picks up. Such a terrible business

I found Lynn after visiting many tailors who refused to help my bridesmaids with their gowns. My wedding date was 06/07/2019. Based off her website, and her many years of experience, I felt she'd be able to guide me in how to work with my girls dresses. She was immediately helpful, I could tell she knew her stuff, and she immediately put me at ease. Very nice but not organized my sweet 16 daughter's dress was not ready when we agreed upon. I even came a few days later and it was not ready as promised. There straps she sewed on snapped during the party. The dress has a spot on it which it did not have when we gave it to her. My mom had to treat the spot. Shame on me. I read,the reviews but decided to try her anyway.
