I am a solution-focused counselor in San Antonio, Texas. I work with tweens, teens, adults and couples to navigate through challenges that come up in the course of life. I have an office in Stone Oak and I also offer in-home sessions or walk & talk therapy if you can't make it to see me. I offer distance counseling via VSee, as well as phone sessions.

Although I live and am licensed in the great state of Texas, I am not a native (but I got here as soon as I could). I hail from Chicago, where my early business career in marketing and writing led me to notice how many people long for help with difficult personal issues. Tweens & Teens have many stressors today and sometimes need an outside person to help sort things out. I use games and engaging communication techniques to encourage and foster dialogue that helps me get to the root of the issues. I work closely with families to ensure progress and change is taking place and that goals are being met.
Let's face it. Some people simply aren't comfortable sitting on "the couch" talking to someone who sits in "the chair." I wlll meet you at a walking venue of your choice - you name it! Stone Oak Parkway, Hardberger Park, the Mission Trail, or your neighborhood! Because of my travel time, these sessions cost $125 an hour.
Many insurance companies limit the amount of sessions and require a diagnosis that stays on your permanent record. I do, however, provide you with the necessary forms to submit to your own insurance carrier for potential reimbursement upon request. Cash, money orders, and personal checks, as well as Visa, Mastercard, Discover and American Express are accepted for payment.

She still has a lot to learn.
5 years of independent practice and she couldn't identify when someone who knows what they need flat out tells her and replies with "I'm not just going to sit here and agree with you."
Even accused me of making assumptions about her approach to therapy when I was only expressing my concern for previous negative experiences.
I never assumed she would be like the rest. After that she got defensive for no reason.
I think she needs to realize that not everyone who sits on her couch is going to need to be held by the hand. Some people know exactly what
