You may call to place a food order same day 925-718-5818 or just come on in any time we are open. We are back open Thursdays- Sunday from 9am-2pm for Indoor dining, Outdoor dining, Takeout, Pastries, Coffee and Cakes. All pastry orders need to be placed 5 days in advance. If we have not made contact and received payment it is not a completed order.

Life is Sweet is a dedicated gluten free bakery and cafe located in charming downtown Danville, California. San Ramon Valley High School graduate and Bay Area native Julie Krause, attended the California Cullinary Academy in San Francisco, and immediately went to work in a small local bakery specializing in wedding and custom cakes.
Spanish Style- 3 farm fresh eggs, spicy sausage, bell peppers, onions and pepper jack cheese with topped with roasted salsa and served with roasted red potatoes and your choice of buttered toast and jam. Iron Horse-3 farm fresh eggs, your choice of meat (turkey, chicken, bacon or sausage) avocado, tomato, red onions, mushroom and aged white cheddar cheese served with roasted red potatoes an your choice of buttered toast and jam.

Purchased my daughters first birthday cake from here. Everyone loved it! We got banana cake and mocha filling, with vanilla frosting on top, so delicious! We usually drive down to the South Bay for gluten free baked goods or make them at home, so finding this gem of a bakery has been awesome! Will be back soon! Thank you guys for baking delicious gluten free goodies my girls can enjoy! You guys are awesome!

Drove 30min very excited by everything on the online menu, built our whole day plan around it. There are so few dedicated gluten-free cafes out there, and everything looked so good! We should’ve done more research though; as soon as we got there we saw the Blue Lives Matter flag out front. It really hurt to see something so explicitly telling us we were unwelcome when we’d been so excited to come.
We went in anyway hoping maybe it was just the building and not the cafe, but the staff said it belonged to the owner, and I was crestfallen to see that confirmed in their response to the one other

Always love this bakery/Cafe!
One of few local places my wife and daughter who are diagnosed with celiac disease can feel 100% safe.
The food is always fresh and high quality and the service is friendly and efficient.
So glad they're managing to survive through the pandemic!

I am a big sucker for scones so I really liked the freshness and lightness of this lemon blueberry scone! Definitely a contrast to the more crumbly golden-crust scones out there, but a true delight especially with their solid decaf! I appreciate that because a lot of places neglect their decaf offerings. The coconut macaroon was light and fluffy much like a meringue. Plenty of seating with proper distancing on the patio. Attentive service, too! Wonderful in every regard.

I know they focus on gluten free cupcakes, but I've only had their other pastries. They're super tasty for the most part, and I've never been more impressed with the quality of ingredients in a pastry - fresh blueberries, fresh lemon zest, high quality cheddar, etc. The scones are a little chewy but delicious. The muffins are, in my opinion, their best item. I'm not even a blueberry muffin person but I've never had a better one. Strangely enough, I haven't found their meals to be as good as their pastries. It seems like someone is a very good gluten free pastry chef but not as good of a general

Happy to support them! They are a fantastic GF bakery and breakfast spot. They opened this morning for a few hours and I'm happy to say they were busy. The bakery items are so good. Most wouldn't realize everything is gluten free. I encourage you to follow them and find out when they will be open again. It's so important to support our local businesses in this crazy time.
