Ordered on Doordash. This review is solely based on the food.
The classic breakfast sandwich - the perfect morning sandwich! It almost tasted like a burger. I added spinach, sausage, bacon and avocado to mine.
The Parisian Breakfast Sandwich - delicious sandwich. Loved the whole mustard in it!
Cinnamon Roll - gooey pastry tastiness
Almond Croissant - one of the best ever. Flaky, buttery and soft

I received a nice $5 birthday offer & decided to utilize it with a dirty chai & almond croissant.
The Dirty Chai had a fresh ginger taste, which can seem a little strong (a spicy burn), but for those who are lactose intolerant, ginger helps with lactose issues. I haven't had a Dirty Chai that had such a nice ginger component & I have to say I like their unique approach to this drink.
By popular recommendation, I decided to order the Almond Croissant. It was flaky & had the perfect amount of lightness to it. The almond flavor definitely made it's presence, I can see

So grateful to be sharing this review.
Still not sure if I pronounce it correctly but this spot has become one of our go to local spots for breakfast. It's a small space with a few tables located inside & out. They offer packaged goods, pastries, and cold case options.
The veggie breakfast sandwich + Avocado is my go to. The bread they've chosen is light & buttery & compliments my fluffy eggs well. Paired with a side of potatoes. I always look forward to the fresh salted chocolate chip cookie w/ my oat milk matcha latte. My lover enjoys their French toast as fresh juices

We were looking for something healthy to eat today, so we search and search until we found this place. All the Yelp pictures helped us decide our meals - breakfast bowl and veggie sandwich. We also tried to get the chocolate orange marmalade croissant, but they were out, so they gave me a blueberry scone on the house! Anyway, the breakfast bowl was packed with healthy stuff - kale, quinoa, sautéed veggies, two eggs, pickled cabbage, and black beans with their house sauce. It was good, but the veggie sandwich was way way tastier! Sure, mostly the same ingredients like the breakfast bowl, but it

Mmmm definitely screams "HEALTH" LOL (not that it's bad but the foods were definitely not the textures I was expecting)
I ordered an oat milk latte and it was very, for lack of better words, thick. I thought it was just mine but my friend's was also a similar texture and we did not know what to make of it. ;; It was still good though. I also ordered a rice flour pastry, which also had an interesting texture but tasted fine.

Great pastries here you can't beat them. If you haven't tried it you really should. The coffee is always a work in progress. Maybe it's just me. They have several great sandwiches that seem to run out pretty quickly. I have also picked up a freshly baked baguette here. So, if you don't want to run into a grocery store this is a great option to grab bread, pastry and coffee on the run.

Not sure if I caught the staff on a bad day, plus this was my first visit but it wasn’t an overall good one. Interaction with the staff was mediocre at best. The gentleman at the register gave serious ‘don’t give a crap’ vibes. I ordered a hard chai but got a regular. I offered to pay for the difference when I went back to the register but was charged $2 for the shot but the price difference between the regular chai and the dirty chai is $1.25. The chai was lukewarm and tasted like water. I ordered the breakfast quesadillas and that was actually pretty good.

Perfect little cafe for a quick bite. Came here with a friend while visiting Oakland. I ordered an Almond Croissant and breakfast sandwich while my friend ordered avocado toast with a sea salt chocolate chip cookie. We both loved our food. We ordered and sat outside on the small patio to eat. The sun was out so it was perfect. There are a few benches with shade incase you dont want to get a tan.
There was also plenty of parking outside. We were able to get a spot right in front which was convenient.
The con is that they charge a 15% fee if you dine on the patio. Since we paid a fee, we expected

Wow wow so good! Big Hungry and I went in for brunch on a Wednesday. The employees were all really friendly, welcoming us in, helping us choose which pastries to take home, and taking our to-go order. We both got french toast and each finished every last morsel. It comes with blackberry jam on top, and maple syrup and whipped lemon ricotta on the side. That jam is the jam and the ricotta I swear I could eat a bowl of it with a serving spoon and still want more. I also ordered 2 pastries for breakfast the next day and got an iced oat milk latte that rivaled the good stuff at any hipster coffee spot

I've been here three times and every experience has been consistent: decent food and bad service.
1st visit: I order takeout over the phone. When I arrive the price is different from the online menu. I point this out to the cashier. She throws her hands up and says, "I guess they haven't updated the website yet" and charges me the more expensive price.
2nd visit: The takeout boxes are covered in some kind of crud and my wife's order is wrong.
3rd visit: I order over the phone and am told it'll be ready in 25-30 minutes. I arrive after 40 minutes. At which time

I highly recommend ordering ahead online, if you hit them up during a lunch rush it can be quite busy and slow. We ordered online but were hoping to be able to eat outside on the side patio. Unfortunately they only have 3 tables, which were all taken (even though one group was done eating and just talking) and we weren't able to eat there even though we were charged an additional fee (15%) to eat outside. I agree with other reviews that the staff isn't very warm or welcoming. I also watched them take out the trash then immediately return to work (not washing their hands). Seriously

I love this place!
I especially enjoy their freshly baked almond croissant right out the oven. OMG they're amazing and my mouth is just watering thinking about it! Haha
They bake their pastries in house and so the cafe always smells amazing!
They also have food items for breakfast and lunch or if you just want a quick snack!
Give them a try!

Randomly stopped by here after a long walk for a cappuccino but couldn't help but order their pistachio croissant as well! I would say their cappuccinos are only sub par, if you order it, make sure you ask for an extra shot of espresso because the ratio between oatmilk and espresso were off. The cappuccino tasted more like a latte than it did a cappuccino. Apart from their espresso, I LOVED the raspberry pistachio croissant! I would definitely come back for that & try some of their other pastries & breakfast items.
Parking: They have plenty of parking out in front or across the street

My new favorite bakery in the Oakland area.
Bought their ham and cheese filled croissants, so flaky and decadent.
Choc chip cookies, bread and curried lentil soup.
Happy and satisfied with all of it.
Just wish they were closer.
But they're open 7 days a week. So I just need to plan a little to get there

I really like this place for the ambiance and lattes and the food is mostly great. The baked goods are baked in house. The croissants are not truly top of the line, at least I've been served a pretty marginal croissant and haven't tried again. (Wasn't light and flakey. At all.) But I've also had delicious food and baked goods here. They have a nice spot with games and toys. I'm happy to have L'acajou (which means "the cashew") close to home.
Also, please bus your table! 🤭
