Very poor customer service from the staff. I’ve brought my dog here multiple times. Recently every time I show up there seems to be some issue or some miscommunication with the staff. I have no complaints with the veterinarian she’s great. My problem is with the new staff. I called yesterday 8/26 trying to refill my dogs medication for his pain and spoke to Paul he told me that he would need to call me back. Of course he never did. So I called back before they closed and spoke to Paul again he told me to hold on that he needs to speak to the pharmacist. Then he put the pharmacist on phone to

I have been taking my dogs here since they opened. My mom has been taking her dogs to Dr Blackwell since before she branched out on her own. They have always taken great care of my dogs. However, the last few months, when I have needed them the most, they are too busy to help. Don’t get me wrong - they are knowledgeable and the doctors are friendly IF you get an appointment. The front desk staff that answers the phone are rude and dismissive of the urgency of needing an appointment. They are quick to tell me to call other vets (which most are not taking new clients). Update: after posting, the vet called me in an hour. Coincidence I don't know...3.5 stars if I could instead of 2. The call was appreciated, but I can't fix the past....I took my cat in for blood work and was advised everything was great and to just keep an eye on the numbers for thyroid for the future. I recently bought pet insurance and they requested my cat's records. I now have an exclusion for my cat for uremia (kidney issues). There were two items in the blood work that were high out of range that the vet did not tell me about and I still have that voicemail telling me that everything is

The vets and staff at Desert Sky always go above and beyond in any situation that affects animals. They’re compassionate, caring and talented professionals who demonstrate consistent high regard for the animals in their care. Dr. Blackwell has been our vet for many years, and we can always count on her to lead with her heart and solve with her… mind. We’ve had times of joy, bringing in new pups for their first exam, to sorrows at the sunset of a pet’s life, and everything in between, and this team has kindly ushered us through it all. Even though we still do Curbside check in, Dr Blackwell and the staff take time to talk and go over things on the phone while you sit in car.
My pup comes out of the office with his tail wagging as he enjoyed his visit..shots and all!
Afterwards, the ice cream place close by has free doggie sundaes!

The peaceful feeling of knowing it is ALL FINE and they do not waste time to attend your sweet furry pups and kitties too. The hospital is always clean and professional Dr. KJ Blackwell is sublime and truly cares and will explain something you may not know the answer.
