Services
Macha Eye Care opened in Anderson in 1999 to provide high-quality eye care to the surrounding communities. The practice grew steadily, eventually outgrowing our original 650 square foot office. In 2003, Macha Eye Care moved to our current location, which gave us ample space for state-of-the-art lab equipment, a wide variety of high-end frames, and multiple exam rooms.

Dr. Macha was able to work my wife into his hectic Holiday schedule when her eye infection hadn't improved after being examined/treated by our longtime eye care provider.
The staff was friendly and competent and Dr. Macha correctly diagnosed her eye infection and prescribed Rx's that has given her relief. She is pain free and the swelling and redness is virtually gone.
His staff scheduled a near-term follow up appointment for her and I will be seen by him in March for a thorough examination.
Dr. Macha and his practice has two new patients!

Normally I have a good experience, but I have had an eye issue for the las tr few months. When I came last month, someone didnt know how to send a script and I had to keep calling and basically told I and the pharmacy was wrong, and it turns out person didnt send it right. Today I am here, been here since 9am and its 10 am and no one has seen me. I was told.to come in at 9 and I did, a person comes in 15 minutes after me and tech comes up to me and says I have to wait because he was scheduled, and I was here first. He didnt know that and instead of pulling me aside or putting in anestia in my eye

We’ve been patients at Macha for 10 years. My son’s glasses broke. I called, made an appointment to get them fixed, and on the phone call they pulled him up on the computer so would’ve easily seen in their system when he was last examined and got his glasses. I took him out of school for the appointment today. I was told because they were purchased in late 2018 and he didn’t have a current prescription, they would not fix his glasses unless we scheduled a new exam. If they have a policy like this, why wouldn’t this be explained over the phone so you don’t completely waste your patient’s

I have been going to Dr. Macha for several years and would not even consider changing to another eye doctor unless I absolutely had to. Dr. Macha and his staff provide excellent customer service and are always available to address any questions or concerns I might have about a certain issue. They treat me like family, which I appreciate more than I can say.

I have been seeing Dr. Macha for at least 15 years now, probably closer to 20. The trust I have in him and his practice speaks for its self. After that length of time I have the utmost confidence and respect for him and his staff. They are kind, courteous and very professional. If I have had an issue with anything, it has not been the office , it has been the lab, and they always make it right. This has only happened a couple of times in all of these years. I have no intention to ever leave Dr. Macha as a patient.

Not good. I was told I would be seen by Dr. Macha. When I came in, I was seen by a female Dr. that didn't introduce herself and seemed like she had a bad case of the Mondays or something. I really got the feeling she didn't want to be there. I explained my vision history, concerns, etc. and she didn't offer any real input or suggestions and was extremely quiet and reserved. I then picked out frames, with no help from staff. When I finally got the glasses, I absolutely hated them and went to return them for a refund. The staff then tried to convince me that I 'would get used to them'. So, basically

Was just a little over four months from the time of getting my annual eye exam to getting glasses that I could actually see out of. Went back several times with two pair of glasses telling them I could not see out of them. The manager, is wonderful. She worked with me and did all that she could to resolve the issue. She felt like the doctor should recheck my eyes because my symptoms were telling her my lenses were too strong. Dr. Macha felt that wasn't necessary the first time around. Made some adjustments to the glasses and hoped that would fix all. Once again , I ended up on the doorstep

The original consult was nice and I liked the doctor (he was very thorough with my exam.). I used my insurance to pay for a new pair of glasses, paying extra for the upgraded frames and special coating and paid out of pocket fot contacts. all in all, with the appointment fee I paid them over $600
Unfortunately the experience was ruined two weeks later when I went to pick up my glasses. Now ive been wearing glasses for close to 20 years and every time I have gotten new glasses, the staff had "Fitted" them when I picked them up- adjusting the temples and the nose pieces, etc. not these
