Matt Deter started Speedy Movers (SPEEDY) as a way to earn extra cash for his college tuition. When it came time to name his company, Matt wanted to find a way to communicate his personal values for how business should be done. Doing business is too often simply transactional. Mr. McFeely's character from this popular kids television program represented more than a (speedy) transaction at each visit. Mr. McFeely became a beloved character and friend to Mister Rogers, and all who watched, because of the relationship that developed between them. To Matt, the "Speedy Delivery" catchphrase became a symbol for the ideal way business should be done, by creating not just customers-by creating friends.

Careful with our items and worked hard. We had a lot of difficult items and really went the extra mile to get everything where we wanted them. Speedy movers was wonderful to work with when I called last minute for a move. I called about a week before I needed moving help and too my surprise they were able to get me a quote that same week and have me all moved the following Tuesday!
Speedy Movers will protect your furniture with our heavy duty storage blankets in your home prior to transportation. We also carry stretch wrap if your items need an extra layer of protection. Don't worry; your stuff is safe with us. Our local flat rate, one time 30 minute travel fee covers us getting to your move location, and getting back to our office from your drop off location.

Planning was horrendous. But the movers hustled and got it done.
We tried to plan our move 2 months in advance, as we had 2 moving trucks going to different locations. We were constantly dismissed, and felt Derrick didn't care, or want our business. We were told he would call us back, he even set up call back times, and never received a return phone call.
Instead of giving up, we decided to give the company one last chance, and FINALLY received an estimate and confirmed movers for our Moving date.
Moving day came, and the workers had no idea what the plan was supposed to be. Even though they

05/15/2021 Update: We used them again! The team of Frank, Carlos, Freddy, Elijah H., Eli, and Dylan were absolutely amazing. We had a pretty complicated move in my opinion. We were moving out of my mothers house into our own house, while subsequently moving my mother's furniture which we had put in a storage unit back into her house. Speedy provided 2 trucks, two of the guys came all the way from tri-cities! Truck/Team 1 worked on emptying my storage unit with my stuff from (kitchen, bathrooms, etc from my previous home) and loading it, Truck 2 worked on emptying my moms storage unit of furniture

These guys were all-around amazing! They arrived about 30 minutes early (which I had ok'd). They had my son all packed up and we were on way to new house in 35 minutes (a one-room assisted living move to new assisted living house). Then this local move got really messed up really fast when acceptance at new location was put in question. The new House's head office couldn't decide if my son was a good fit for them (even though move was already approved and we had arrived with all his stuff). For over 2 hours, I had to keep going outside to tell movers I had no idea what to do with

Used speedy for a short move to Montana. After an initial problem with man power a team of 2 guys stayed late the first day to get most of the house packed. The next day more people and trucks were there. The house was loaded and unloaded at my new home 3 hours away. Again the crews worked late to get everything unloaded. I was able to keep my work schedule and while the move did not go to original schedule we still got unloaded on the right day. Communication from the main office could have been slightly better on the first day when the manpower issues came up.

You guys are just simply amazing. Thank you so much. I would still be unloading my moving truck. The guys were on time and showed up like superhero’s to our rescue. The speed at which you guys move is awesome. You guys did it on less than 24 hours notice. My lease is up in a year. You will be the first person I call. Keep up the good work fellas. You guys were simply amazing and you made my life so much easier and I can’t think you enough.

Great communication before the move. They worked with a very tight time line, called and confirmed the day before and texted 5 minutes before arrival. Robert and Skyler were very polite and worked hard. We moved on a very windy day which made it more difficult for the guys. They protected everything so well and placed items properly. We were very impressed and would use them for a third time.

I'm a little late posting this review but we had AMAZING customer service from this company I wish I could remember all the helpful gentleman's names that assisted us on our move from Kennewick, Wa to Nine Mile Falls, Wa. They were so polite, took great care with wrapping our furniture and packed everything so neatly. We had a large truck full of items from our home and a storage unit. They came in and strategized a plan that they ensured was suitable for us and them. There was no assuming the communication was on par!! I would highly recommend anyone moving to use this company. I am so impressed with Derrick and Kaleb - I had a move this past weekend and took care of my belongings in a very professional manner. Kaleb was exceptional carrying boxes of books and always polite.
I moved to Richland from a major metropolitan city and was expecting over charging and rude behavior and nickel and dime for everything- boy was I wrong. The move went beyond my satisfaction and will recommend speedy movers. They really know what human kindness means. Thank you!
