How to Avoid Injury in Chaturanga Chaturanga Dandasana or Four Limbed Staff Pose can make some students and seasoned teachers cringe at its very utterance. Create Space & Strength in Chaturanga Try using blocks to create space in your vinyasa or to do a series of chaturanga push-ups, like the three.

After moving to Louisiana in 2016, Amy tried out the big designer gyms but got bored easily with the same workout routines and never felt quite at home at these gyms. After meeting fellow instructor Kaitey, Amy signed up for the 21 Day Challenge at Bayou Yoga and from there she was hooked. Amy quickly feel in love with Yoga Sculpt, a combination of yoga movements with weight incorporated and small burst of cardio.
1. Wear comfortable clothing that allows you to move freely and confidently. For men, fitted athletic shirts or tanks and shorts work best; for women, yoga pants, leggings and tanks tops or fitted tees do the trick. 1. Plan in advance. Beginning yoga students generally have a better experience when they plan 12-24 hours in advance.
We love, want to support and up lift our community. The best way we know how to do that is through yoga. If you have an interest in starting or deepening your yoga practice, but finances are what is holding your back, we have an awesome opportunity for you! Love the studio fantastic ownership, wonderful teachers, and awesome students. A true tribe in the local area of yoga followers. Been a Bayou Yoga fan since the beginning! I’m a former professional athlete and it is truly open my eyes to how important the practice of yoga is in your day-to-day life. You’ve made a believer in me! Thanks guys.

Where and how do I even start?! In terms of the virtual experience, it is as simple as signing up online and using a link to sign into the class. The technology is simple and smooth-sailing. Technology issues are rare. I’ve been using this service since the 2020 pandemic started. As far as this business, the team at Bayou Yoga is creative, thoughtful, always evolving, and truly cares about each person leaving better than how he or she arrived. I feel like this place is a safe space, where I can be myself, even if it is in my own head. And the workout (which is how I showed up initially) is fun

Bayou Yoga is my favorite yoga studio on the Northshore....and well, my favorite studio anywhere. They offer challenging classes, restorative classes, special workshops, and more. They also offer both virtual and in-studio classes. The atmosphere is welcoming and friendly. If you’re new to the studio, make sure to try their new student special for $25 and try all of their classes.

I joined the 21-Day challenge at Bayou Yoga in April and have loved it since day one. The owners & teachers are caring, encouraging and challenging. Their studio offers a variety of classes for all levels, are involved in the community, have a book club and have lots of fun options to choose from. LOVE Bayou Yoga ❤️
