Factor Irrigation started in 1991 as Affordable Sprinklers, and became Factor Irrigation Inc. in 2002. Charlie Factor is the president and founder of the company. For 25 years, he has been installing and maintaining irrigation systems all over Rhode Island and the surrounding area.
The focus has always been on sprinkler systems that were easy to maintenance, with outdoor access, and installing systems that followed the basic industry installation rules in order to save water.Many of the customers we served in the 1990's are still our customers today, and systems we installed are still running smoothly, just as they did then.

The information you submit to Factor Irrigation Inc. is kept private. We only use your information to respond to your inquiry. We will not sell or distribute your contact information including phone number or e-mail address to any third parties. We get some basic information from you. We need to know how much water your property has available for a potential irrigation system.
Remember: your sprinkler system spends your money at two o'clock in the morning. It should be throughly inspected every year to ensure that your system operates at peak effeciency. Our comprehensive service includes setting your controller, checking your sprinkler heads alignment, clearing clogged nozzles, and repairing any damaged components.
As homeowners, we know you want to get the best value for your hard earned money. Here at Factor Irrigation, we want to make sure you understand the difference between a good, well designed system and a bad, poorly designed/installed one. I called 4 or 5 companies. 3 showed up. First company looked at the job and said no problem. I have a crawl space that he was going to have to crawl into. I never heard from him again. The second company came. Same thing. They said no problem but heard nothing. Factor irrigation came and he figured out that he could run the water through my laundry room. I got a quote. The second company called back. I suggested going through the Laundry room and they were more than happy to work with me then. Why would I use companies that I have to tell them how to do their job. Would NOT recommend......I have found this company to be very unresponsive, (after Numerous calls) they came out to shut down our system for the winter, they blew out the lines left my car full of mud I called to complain they said there was nothing they could do my husband was home (he was in the house, ) I saw it after they left, why didn't the tech ask me to move my car.
We paid last year to the close/open the system.
So they came last week to open the system, my husband clearly said set the timer for M,W, & F @ 2 (the tech also had to replace a broken sprinkler head.) The tech came repair

Totally non responsive. Lacking attention to detail. Phone calls not returned. Do not answer the phone. Just not customer friendly. Used to be good, I did business with them for close to 20 yrs, but last several years really bad. Although I am not sure, but I suspect the business was run by the father and now the children are trying to run it. Would not recommend.

Every year we have them blow out the lines for winterization. We always request a courtesy call letting us know when they are coming. Yet every year, they just show up unannounced. Usually, it's "Oh, we were in the neighborhood so we thought we'd just come by." When we say we need to know they're coming so we can unlock the gate to let them into… the back yard, they say it's not necessary, they'll just jump the fence. Gee, that's comforting.
