Heroes Island Cusine Lounge
I've eaten Jamaican food all over the world so I'm a bit of a snob and know good Jamaican from bad. Since moving to the USA 14 years ago I would have to say this place has the BEST Jamaican food I've had in the United States. I've eaten it in many places like Miami, NYC, Maryland, Oklahoma and DC to name a few. My cousin was visiting from Israel and I wanted him to try it. We were NOT disappointed!
Services
Heroes Lounge is one of the city's most diverse venues for live music, Caribbean cuisine, great drink specials, and good times. Our restaurant is available for private events: weddings, business lunches, dinners, receptions, and more. We would love to discuss how to be a part of your next event. We refuse to compromise on quality in our restaurant.

Lost my review but I dislike this so much I took the time out to write it again. WORST FOOD IVE EVER HAD I MY LIFE! I always try and give two stars even if I don't like it, I'd give -5 stars if I could. I should have gone to Wendy's like I planned instead of spending $45 in two entrees down this place. I had been wanting. To try Caribbean food for years. I grew up with a Cameroonian dad and daughter of a true down home southern cook. So I know what flavor is especially something like oxtails and a simple burger.

Disappointment could not begin to describe the awful meal I had.

We reserved a VIP section on a Friday night for my son's 30th surprise party and EVERYTHING WAS AMAZING! Stephanie was the absolute best with accommodating my every request! The music, food and drinks were a whole vibe...we will definitely be back!

Came their to watch the fight with my partner. We decided to do VIP. With bottles and food etc we spent around 5 hundred. Our waitress 'Mah' or 'Sexy Mah' was one of the worse VIP waitresses I've ever had. We had to keep finding her to order food and bottle etc. While other VIP waitresses kept attending to their VIP guests, we had to grab them to find ours. The owners or managers were apologetic but 'Mah' just didn't get it. Her excuse was she was so busy with other people. First off you would've received a big tip with a bill over 5 hundred, 2nd don

Called to ask if my belongings had been found. Woman who answered at 11:02pm on Tuesday night said "NO."and then hung up in my face. Called back several times immediately to see if the line dropped. They did not answer.

TRASH customer service. Never going again.

It's okay, it's a hit or miss with the food, and the waitresses there are kinda stand off ish if you aren't with a man.

-Updating because the drinks were really good. And my plate was put together very nicely. It even came with a little purple flower. I will be trying again on one of the busier days.

The food is good! We got there around 530 and ordered from the bar. Nice Caribbean music played in the background while we enjoyed our food and drinks. While we were waiting on the rest of the food we ordered a lady came in around 615 toe set up for poetry night and told us because it's poetry night at 6 pm they charge 10 dollars per person. Thing is we were already in the building before the event even started. After we told her we weren't there for that, she said oh ok well of yall are here after 7 yall will have to pay. Unfortunately this doesn't sit well with me. We left right

The place has a very homestyle vibe that reminded me of my travels to the islands. The vibe there is rich; a variety of seating throughout, sports TV, live music, karaoke, etc. Food was very good and worth the price--I had some shrimp and some wings. The wings were wonderfully coated and seasoned. My favorite was the Lemon pepper. The drinks were mixed well. While we ate, we enjoyed a nice mix of music playing from the DJ. Definitely intend on going back.

Stumbled upon this place. It has a cool patio and tongue-in-cheek named drinks. Lots of different wing options. I'd come back, just for the plantains.

Today was the day that I desperately really wanted some Jamaican food and I decided that I was going to feel the vibe and listen to some good music and eat some good Jamaican food here at heroes. Plan didn't go as well first of all it took the waitress literally 10 minutes just to get to my damn table. I ordered the food the food not take that long to get there and the food was good I did not eat all of it because I planned on taking it home. I asked away just to get me a ginger beer. I tasted the ginger beer and it was very strong for me to even drink so I asked them could they take it off

Heroes is my go-to spot for their Oxtail dish. Infact, that's the only dish I get from there. The Oxtail is fall off the bone and very well seasoned, and the rice/veggies are delicious. The restaurant is very spacious, nice music, fast service, and you definitely get your moneys worth with the amount of food they give you! Only con is that the drinks are very expensive. ($10+).

I've taken plenty of folks here and they've all been repeat customers!

Ordered the Veggie Plate, brown Stew Tofu, Veggie Burger, and Brown Stew chicken... may I add it was almost $60 for the food. I was going off the menu online where the prices are wayyyyyy cheaper. To the owner PLS update prices on your website menu because it is totally off. The prices are on average $4 higher than what's on the website.
Besides the I correct prices the food was decent. I dont have complaints really it was fresh and seasoned good...
Pls fix the prices!!!

Nica B. Is amazing! She took care of us as soon as we walked in the door. When I asked her what her favorite dish was, she said the Rasta Pasta with Chicken and Shrimp! Please believe me when I say it DOES NOT disappoint! The Rasta Pasta is full of flavor and just makes you smile when you take that first bite. You instantly feel like you are in the Caribbean while you're eating and listening to great music. If you are looking for the hidden gem in Dallas... this is the place!

Food is really good. I ordered the Brown Stew Chicken, which is one of my favorite Jamaican dishes. Rum punch is very tasty as well. Be careful... it may taste like juice, but it sneaks up on you. Went on Tuesday night and the karaoke was so much fun. Nice crowd. Came with about 10 friends and we all had a blast.

I visited this venue for a poetry slam. Parking was full, but luckily they have an overflow lot but it's all gravel so watch your tires! Walking from my car I saw what I thought was an entrance with a velvet rope and two guys who looked like bouncers, but when I approached them they told me to go around to the other side of the building (?). Made it inside, paid my cover and saw the space was packed. No seating to be had which was odd, because I ended up leaning against what I later realized was a couch that was standing on it's side that they weren't using.
I ordered some fries

I wish Yelp would let you give 0 stars. This place is not even deserving of 1.

I went in on a Wednesday night, a little after happy hour had ended. There were 2 guys sitting at the bar and a couple in a booth in the back, that's it. This was my first time in, as well as the people I was with. Reviews spoke great things of the drinks and the night scene that they have there. But I obviously didn't listen, I went wanting great Caribbean food and exceptional service yet I didn't get either.

Upon entering we stood in the entryway not knowing if we were waiting on a host or if we seat
