We use health conscious, local, and ethically sourced ingredients in as many recipes as possible. Organic sugar, cage free eggs, and dairy products from Hatcher Farms are important to making our sweets delicious, healthy, and sustainable. We use recipes that have been handed down through our family's generations of southern cooks and bakers.
Some of our fondest family memories were formed in the kitchen, trying out new recipes and making those little changes that make our desserts so special. Without the love and support of the Nashville community, we wouldn't be where we are today. We donate a portion of our proceeds to charities and the arts that are doing great work to help this city.

Services
While we recommend at least two weeks in advance for orders, we may be able to accommodate your order with shorter notice. For best customer satisfaction, we are now requiring a minimum of 72 hours notice for ALL orders. Please keep in mind that your order is not booked until payment is made. We work on a first come, first serve basis and priority booking goes to our paying customers.

I needed a coconut cake quickly for a special occasion. They told me due to it being a seasonal offering and the time constraints (five hours…. Kind of like mission impossible stuff… ) that a coconut cake wasn’t an option… but they made the most amazing coconut cupcakes.. and they were moist, delicious and beautiful. Will be back again soon!!!

We were very pleased with our recent purchase at Sweet Thing Bakery. We’re new to the area, and wanted to get something special to take home for Thanksgiving. Plus, we were celebrating my sisters and my birthdays. We got 2 dozen assorted cupcakes, 2 dozen mini cupcakes, and a dozen assorted Oreo balls. They were all a big hit! Personally, I thought the price was on point. The bakery we frequented in Knoxville was a little less expensive. We’re happy we found a new bakery to use. Thanks for the great service and for being so friendly.

We ordered a full sheet cake for my Mom’s 90th birthday and the flavor was wedding bells. Everyone loved it and said it was the best cake ever! The owner worked with us on a design that included everyone that was going to be there, mom, grandmother, sister, cousin, friends. Loved the was it looked and tasted!

My daughter and I met the owner, Kelly, at a local restaurant in Nashville. We were gawking over a beautiful cake the waiter was taking to a table. Little did we know the baker was actually sitting at the table. After practically drooling over the cake, Kelly surprised us by saving us 2 pieces for after our meal! How sweet! Literally, the cake was soooo moist and full of flavor. So glad we met her, we will be placing an order for my daughter's bachelorette party! Thank you so much Kelly 😬

My family has ordered 3 specialty cakes in the past year for birthdays and I can't honestly say I have ever been disappointed. They have a wide variety of creative flavor options and the decorations have always been perfect. The cake is always moist and flavorful and the icing is always just right. Definitely a go-to for a good cake!

Yesterday we visited Sweet Things Bakery in Nashville because Jamie saw a sign advertising coconut cake (my favorite)....he mentioned to Kelly the owner to that Lemon was his favorite....I left my business card as any good Origami Owl Designer would do....just got a call a few minutes ago from Kelly....she made my honey some Lemon Cupcakes today! YES....WE GOT SOME! DELISH!!! Now that's customer service!
