I've come all the way from London to try this! The person who took our orders was an extremely generous man. From telling us what was best in the menu to giving authentic and Halal Mexican food. I mean what could I ask more?!?!
Cannot wait to be back! I've introduced this place to my family and now they'll be regulars.
Oh and the food was so good that we went back in to get a 2nd order!

Excelente! It's Small Business Saturday, and I was craving a burrito. Perfect timing to try Papacito's. The ordering process via their website was really seamless. It's through Square, so I don't think they have the crazy surcharges like through Grubhub, etc. They currently have a deal on free delivery so now is the perfect time to give it a shot.

I've been eating at Papacito's for about 8 years now and it's my favorite Mexican joint on the North Side. The people are great, tacos excellent, tortilla chips exceptional, and the huevos rancheros sublime. The listing has three dollar signs but should only show one - all food is extremely affordable.

My girlfriend got terrible food poising after we ate here earlier today. On top of that, her order was wrong, with most of what was in the description was left out and replaced with other ingredients (which she did not ask for).

Ordered via Delivery.com. Paid extra for a few of the salsas to try them out but really only liked the one that came with the chips the regular red salsa although it was too liquidy. I had the trio tacos with one ground beef, chicken, and steak. They were all good. The chips were too thick and too fried but overall was a good meal.

I got a fish taco and steak taco for pick-up. Fish taco is amazing. Fish tasted great and the pico de Gallo was clearly very fresh and good. 100% would have that again. The steak taco was very good but the fish and fresh pico stole the show. Rice and beans are good. I did not eat there, but while picking up my food staff was very nice and the place seemed very clean. Definitely going again

I would honestly not suggest this place for Mexican food. My friend and I were craving some burritos and the carry out food we received was sub par. I personally have had plenty of burritos in my life, and Papacitos did not live up to what I expected from an authentic Mexican restaurant. I like to support local business, but I would caution people away. There is just something "not right" with the way my food tasted. I personally will never order from this establishment again especially considering the price I paid for? Not acceptable.

This place is totally authentic. Love the taco salad! Feels like I'm back in Mexico! Wait staff are super cheerful and friendly. It's refreshing to see servers who are passionate about where they work. Their love of the food is a testament to how good the food actually tastes.
Everything is marinated and made from scratch (according to the server), and it's obvious that a lot of love goes into the food. I've eaten here twice this week and will definitely be back for more! They are very accommodating to food allergies!!! Major plus for my gluten free, vegan needs. Yum!

Soft-shell steak tacos included refried beans and rice. Tasty. The chips were very good but the salsa was too spicy.
However, we were grossed out and disappointed in the taco salad. It included cooked broccoli and spinach; the latter is a no-no for anyone who's experienced kidney stones. The tres Leche cake was ruined with a gooey layer of artificial whipped cream and a pool of thin chocolate-flavored sauce. We scraped off what we could and ate the remaining third. We will give it a second try and be more selective.

We dine-in, get delivery, and we have used the catering twice!! There is never a disappointing meal had with this restaurant. Papacito's goes above and beyond with their catering and pricing!! If you are looking for great Mexican food at even better pricing this is the place to go!! The owner is excellent and great to work with on large events!!

I found out this place served Halal Mexican food, and excited by that possibility I gave this place a visit and was happily satiated.
I really enjoyed the steak quesadilla, but the chicken taco was bland and without much flavor. I'll probably get a beef taco next time. Haven't had the burritos and other items besides those listed above, but the steak quesadilla was good enough to give me confidence about the other items. Will be back.

This is mostly a counter serve restaurant, but there are a few small tables jammed into the tiny space and they do offer full table service. The best that can be said is that it's a good deal to get the combo meal which includes a can of soda for $9. There was nothing remarkable about the enchilada or relleno, though. I also tried a fish taco, since they bragged about having been named the best fish taco, and it was okay. The pico de gallo on the fish taco was the most flavorful item I had. Service was friendly.

Lived two blocks away for two years and never knew. This place is too legit, best fish tacos in the city is no exaggeration! Also try the shrimp tacos, camarones por favor! Not open late but that's ok, outstanding pickup and delivery service despite having a crappy website that doesn't work. These guys are catering masters as well. Quesadilla is delicious but a bit small for the price.

Just don't get nachos. You get literally 8 chips. I'm not paying 75 cents a chip for their artful arrangement.
Tamale plate and side of chips and salsa were a good value though and tasty. Salsa is VERY mild and almost completely smooth. Chips authenticand salty. You just never know what you're gonna get when you order "salsa". I'm on a quest for a place with my idea of the perfect chip and salsa COMBO. It's always one or the other :(

I went with the papcito combo. 1 taco, 1 quesadilla, rice, beans and a pop for $9. I went with a carne asada taco it was good, but halal meat usually is. For the quesadilla I went with the veggie option. It was good, but I feel the veggies could've had some flavor themselves, the cheese is what made it delicious. The beans maaaaaan were they good. I'm not usually a refried bean fan, but these were delish!

Papacito's always has great deals and specials going on, and they're always willing to make things work for the customer. I always go on Tuesdays when they have a great deal going on. I love their food and their location is convenient and easy to get to. While their staff can sometimes be a bit reserved, they are still always willing to do whatever it takes to keep you coming back for more!

Came here drunkenly on a St. Patty's Day weekend, but from what I remember this restaurant is exactly what this rating gives - "A-OK". There's better Mexican nearby, but this place isn't a terrible option either. It is sort of a hole in the wall and I wouldn't go there for dinner, but it is a decent lunch spot. Not much space, very local feel, not much mexican flair. Just...normal. Service was attentive, but getting the food and drinks were sort of slow.
