Services
Be caring, curious, and compassionate. Dr. Wood practices these three steps just as he teaches them. He studied for 16 years in graduate school and for a lifetime on his own reading to learn all he can about how to help someone achieve their best self and their best relationships. Your thoughts, your feelings, your needs; these things are the focus of Dr. Wood's treatment style.
You are an excellent, excellent presenter. Where can I go to learn all about your knowledge? You are presenting exactly what I needed to know. My kids came in and gave me a hard time and it only led to me feeling bad and walking out. B: (My past therapist) "He insisted on three times a week." Nobody's gotten into my brain the way you have gotten into my brain.
Born and raised in Weslaco, Texas, Cedric Wood PhD, LPC received his bachelor's degree in Filmmaking (RTF) from the University of Texas in Austin. He was the host of a weekly talk show, "Mental Health Week" in San Antonio, Texas from 1987 to 1990. He wrote, produced, and directed "The Spy Who Spoke Spanish, " an instructional video on speaking Spanish.
I interviewed four different therapist and chose Dr. Wood based on this extensive expertise and knowledge. I am glad I did because Dr. Wood is a seasoned therapist that has helped me improving my communication skills and avoiding disaster in dealing with kids, friends, and coworker.

Maybe this is not for everyone, but before my appointments, I often listen to communication skills audiobooks (during my commute), then discuss what I have learned with Dr. Wood and act out specific examples. If you are open minded to try this as well, I suggest asking Dr. Wood for book recommendations.
There is a great need for children to have two parents who raise them without affairs and without divorce. Their hearts, minds, psyches, and souls will be healthier and happier. Few parents achieve a perfect "10" score. That score would be meeting and dating between the ages of 20 and 30, marrying, having children together, never divorcing, and having no affairs.

Great Counselor. My hubby and I both have/currently attend sessions with him. Great coping tools being taught. Thankful that we found him!

On about my 6th or 7th appointment, he forgot my name! When he had it right in front of him in my file!!!!! Very unprofessional. He would never give any sort of feedback. I didn’t feel listened to or like he was helping in any way. Might as well have flushed my money down a toilet.
