Adam Oakey, New Mexico native, went to Anderson School of Business and graduated with honors. After graduating from Anderson, Adam went to University of New Mexico's School of Law. He graduated from there in 2017. After working at Bowles Law Firm, Adam decided to open his own Albuquerque defense attorney practice in January of 2018.

Be careful when putting down a retainer fee. We were excited to get started with this office for grandparents rights, everyone was friendly at first. Once we put up the retainer, they didn't know who we were, didn't bother to return calls or respond to emails. I will say that Mr. Oakey did contact me to try and make things right but I was immediately thrown off when he said that a motion had already been started which was concerning because nobody had bothered asking me for any names, addresses, etc. At that point I figured they were going to try and keep a portion of the money I had put down.

Every phone number on the business card I was given was invalid, even to the point where one poor girl asked who I was calling for because they were tired of the unwanted calls. I was using wonderful public transportation on black Friday....then managed to walk to the address on the card....nope it's a parking lot, but don't worry if you look across the street from the address provided you will see a sign dictating the law office...walk up to the door knock....ring the bell...search them on Google and be provided with an additional phone number that no one answers....while initially being told

I gave a 1 star due to the lack of attention and distraction. Paid no attention to my story, tried to tell me what I would want to hear, distracted and loss track with one of the attorney at this law firm.
Adam did try to contact me a couple months back and I didn’t even bother to respond as… this consultation was more than 2 years ago. Want to rectify the issue? Get attorneys who are willing to listen during the consultation, not be distracted with another case.

Mr. Oakey is definitely the best at what he does. I have dealt with many lawyers that will just tell you what you want to hear and once they get the money you barley hear from them. Not Adam.
