Gymnastics Academy
Yorba Linda Gymnastics Academy would like to welcome you to our gymnastics and tumbling programs. We offer progressive classes for ages two through adult. We base a student's placement on their skill level, which lets the individual excel at his or her own rate. On our website you will find our office hours, contact information, prices, policies, class schedules and special events such as our Open Gym night.

This class was designed for young children to develop motor skills and coordination. Learning basics and fundamentals is a fun and exciting way to introduce your child to gymnastics. In this class gymnastics is used to improve strength, coordination, flexibility, and balance. Tumbling training helps students hone into these skills which are necessary for outside activities such as cheer or parkour.

Please avoid this place. Most of the time the teachers are not there.
There is a blonde teacher who just stands there and does nothing. She will not correct or move or show the kids anything. She is just there to look cool and stand around.
This place is a play area for kids not a place to learn gymnastics. Horrible place.
Find another place or go to a play area for kids Like those trampoline parks or Billy Bees. It's the same outcome. Just a fun play area.

My daughter was on the competition team. Coach Natalya is very verbally abusive to the girls and weight comments were also made about my daughter in front of her teammates. My daughter has never cried after practice before but ever since transferring to this gym she lost her love for the sport because of one coach. Many meetings have been had with other parents and all the coaching staff. We were told they will choose the coaches over the athletes. My daughter and three teammates reported more verbal abuse about Coach Natalya and all three girls were kicked out of the gym. More reports of physical

I really like this place. They are really hands on so my preschool kids learned quickly. It's fun to watch the higher level kids train...I feel like I'm watching the olympics, these kids are GOOD. The owner was very kind and did not try to pressure me to join, it's month-to-month so I decided to give it a try. He told me only do it as long as my kids are having fun. I was surprised to hear that considering he's a former Olympic medalist! Such a great attitude. The teachers are all really good, we have met about 5 or 6 of them, they seem to rotate who trains the different classes

We took my 5 year old daughter to try a class her Saturday morning and immediately was questioning things. There's no front desk or anyone to welcome you. You basically have to find your way to the back. I had to ask around to see what teacher was for my daughter. The teacher seemed annoyed she had my daughter trying the class. She had no energy or no spunk needed for a 4-5 year old class. She had her hands in her pockets most of the class and to be honest I'm not even sure she smiled once. While doing trampoline skills, she had each kid go one by one across and all the way to the end

I love this place !
I signed my 8 year old Daugter few months ago and she has gotten into shape and learned so much in such a short period of time !
the coaches are experienced and fantastic with the kids.
It's a great balance between stretching and leaning to do the moves in a safe and pleasant way. I wish I signed her up long time a go.

Started bringing my 3 and 5 year old girls a couple months ago. Both started in the same class, but the instructor noted my older could be in the level above. Luckily, Saturday's at 9:30am accommodate both of my girls in 2 classes. The instructors are so sweet, encouraging and patient. Especially Coach "Acelyn" (spelling is off). My 3 year old had a few falling injuries in the past couple of years, so she was scared to try some of the moves. Coach A would tell her to just try it once, but when my daughter would say no, she wouldn't push. After a couple of visits, my daughter

My girls love it here!! The coaches are all real nice. They have a nice balance of making it fun but making sure their technique is correct. The owner is quick to respond when I've sent an email.

Only negative thing I would say is the parents waiting area I feel could be nicer/cleaner.

Wife brought our fearless 4yr old for 1st free intro class on a Friday eve. Arriving to meet them at this business complex, it was not what I expected, but I like the used, but clean, equipment look. My only experience is watching fancy Olympians in tv every 4 years. Teachers are calm, consistent and patient. Other kids of various age groups are impressive to watch. We didn't get a call back for awhile so we just showed up every week until they started charging us. Today, 4th visit, and she absolutely loves it. Ready negative reviews, I thought I'd share too. This isn't day care

Love our gym! Low on gimmick, high on quality of instruction. If you want warm and fuzzy receptionist,- go elsewhere. If you want your kids to actually learn skills and progress,- this is the place! The most pedigreed, experienced coaches for the team and pre-team. Some of these guys are former Olympians, while others had trained the US Team. For the last year our daughter has been attending this gym, and we are overjoyed with her success here.

Love this gym! We have been going here for about 2 months. People are all so nice. Ray is an awesome coach! We were at a different gym previously and this place blows them away. The skill levels that some of these kids have is amazing. We have referred a few friends here and they love it as well.

My daughter came here from another gym where she felt she was not being pushed as much as she wanted. The first month here she was doing thing that blew my mind. With in three months she was asked to be on the team. My daughter has never been happier and she loves going to practices. All the coaches are great. My youngest daughter saw her sister having so much fun she wanted to start doing gymnastics also. I guess we will be here for a long time.

This review is for parents with toddlers that has limited gymnastics experience.

I have 4.5 yrs old triplets. I wanted them to try gymnastics. My kids do not have much experience except what they have learned in preschool with MOBILE GYM that came once a week. I called YLGA and asked for a trial class. I showed up, told the front desk man (looks like one of the owners) that the girls want to try a preschool class. He had me fill out quick paperwork. Then told me to go back. Then I said back where? I have never been here? Then he had me and the triplets followed him. He told me to wait to be called

Some mixed feelings. We tried classes here for a year, as I was looking for an all boy class for my son to learn men's apparatuses. His previous gym had him coed and working on the beam, etc., which my son did not like. YLGA started out great... There were mostly 2 coaches with the boys in the beginning..but then it went to one coach and discipline began to go out the window. The boys were quite unruly with no consequences. I had great hope. I even asked multiple times for private lessons, as my son loved the rings, but I never received a response. I emailed both owners asking...never

My daughter has been going to YLGA for a few years now. I'm impressed with her results. Coach Guyla & Alexey are the Best! My daughter competed at level 4 last season. I'm looking forward to seeing her compete this fall! My daughter was at another gym prior to coming here. There is now comparison. YLGA is focused on training at the highest level. Olympic Champions!

I can't say enough about this gym. Great coaches that are very knowledgeable in tumbling. Really hands on and care so deeply about your child. We have a high school cheerleader that needed some tumbling. She started in October and already has all the requirements needed to advance to the next level in cheer. She loves attending this gym. Highly recommend this gym!!

These guys don't mess around... Run by former Ukrainian / Russian Olympians. How kewl is that?

Rather large (warehouse-style) facility which appears to have some history with prior successful trainees. Lots of various apparatus for kids to train on as well. Can get pricey if they hook you in (like Taekwondo).

Some older kids come for 3 hour sessions 3x per week... So if your kid likes it be prepared to spend hours hanging out in the facility. Parents viewing area is similar to a 4 row movie theater.

Overall recommended if this is up your kids 'interest' alley.

We are so happy with YLGA and the coaching our son has received over the past three years. The coaches are friendly and competent, and my son is doing some kind of activity the whole lesson - very little waiting in line to take a turn on equipment (which is why we left our last gym).

There have been changes to the coaching at this location. A couple years ago my daughter had to move on, unfortunately. I am not sure what the coaching is like at this point.
