Services
In beginning recreation, your child will focus on learning the basics of gymnastics on vault, bars, beam, floor and trampoline. Students will rotate through a variety of stations which help your child learn safe progressions of skills before trying them on their own. Students will begin by warming up and stretching, they will also spend 15 minutes learning trampoline skills and 15 minutes on two other events (bars, beam, vault or floor).
California Gymnastics is a great place to celebrate your Birthday! Our coaches will guide the party goers through a fun gymnastics circuit including games, zip line, foam pit and bungees on trampoline. You will have the whole gym to yourselves allowing you to decorate or bring food, cake, etc. If you bring a pinata, we will gladly set it up for you.
Competitive team is for girls who show exceptional talent and work ethic, as well as the drive to succeed in gymnastics. Students will progress through the USAG levels and attend various competitions throughout the year. Xcel offers the competitive experience without the huge commitment of the Junior Olympic Program.
Registering is quicker on-line. You can sign up for a class anytime, as long as there is a spot available in the class. Our online registration program will automatically pro-rate all tuition and registration fees. Our online registration program drops anyone not paid by the 1st of the month and makes that spot available to new students.

I visited this place about 6 days ago as I was interested in enrolling my child. People at the front desk were friendly and gave me all information needed. However, they do no required children nor parents to wear masks. I went into the class area which is one area for all children. They have a lot of students and it seemed crowded. None of the children were wearing mask. The mask issue was the breaking point for me. We are in the middle of the pandemic and is a fact that children not only can pass covid, but that they can have and get really sick.

Love this place. Got a bit of a late start for my daughter, who made an out of the blue decision that she was super into gymnastics. My partner did a quick search to find available classes, and I'm so glad this was the gym we settled on! Lindsey helps my daughter feel strong, confident, and capable. Our favorite days of the week are days we get to go to California Gymnastics!

Came here for a birthday party and it was one of the worse. The facility is rundown with exposed plywood and the equipment had tears. The foam from the mats were coming out. The girls/teachers that led the class was not patient and did not understand these kids are 3 and 4 year olds. They yelled at my 3 year old because he wasn't getting out of the foam pit fast enough. Instead of trying to help him they told him he wouldn't get another turn. They made him feel bad and he didn't want to be there anymore. This is not class it's a birthday party!! They also keep saying you can

Had both my son and daughter in their preschool program (Beginner through Advanced for my son and Beginner and Intermediate for my daughter). Always had a positive experience with the staff communicating needs for make-ups or changes in schedules (multiple options available to accommodate our already busy life). They were quick fo respond and accommodate every single time. Every coach that worked with my kids (at least 5-6 of them) was always caring, loving and interested in their progress. The only reason to leave was that my kids, being still young, wanted to try or pursue other sports or activities

My children have grown up at Cal Gym. Love their program, coaches, and their take on the sport of gymnastics, especially at the team level. Hard work, while still keeping it fun! The facilities are great, lots of seating for parents, clean, and cubbies for kids to keep their belongings in. Love their big air conditioner, keeps the parents area especially cool compared to other gyms where you have to sweat it out during the summer months.

My grandchildren attend here. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND these classes. As an elementary classroom teacher I highly value classes that teach children to work independently, follow and remember directions and most of all to KEEP TRYING a task even if not easy at first. Coach Matt's classes provide these opportunities!!! Have seen a great deal of growth and improvement in my own grandchildren and the other students as well! Well worth the fees. PRICELESS skills will be learned! 🙂

We came to this place for years. We like the teachers here. I struggled for a long time wanting to pull my kid out because this place is so filthy. It gets stuffy in summer like they don't have AC on. All they do is have a big fan on the back. Every time we come here, we have a hard time finding a parking that is close to the gym. The parking are marked compact 90% which means you are risking to get your car dinged. The gym inside always smells funny, like baked with sweaty people and sweaty feet. The floor is super yucky, food and dirt trapped between gap and never got cleaned.

Pros: it's pretty affordable and my kid loves it. She's learning a lot and practices at home almost daily. Some of the instructors are really really great and engaged and seem to actually care that their students are learning.
Cons: front desk seems unorganized and overwhelmed. I haven't seen any growth being documented in quite a while (which is what helps the kids move up levels). Some of the instructors are rude and that carries over into their classes. They don't seem like they care at all and often seem irritated the entire time. Also- I have had some very off putting

This is the only Gymnastics program that is available to the city of Orange.
I think my kids like Gymnastics but they're not good at listening. The instructors try but with so many kids... there is not enough individual attention. Nevertheless since my kids like it, we're going to try again when they're older.

I brought my 5 year old to the Flip Fest camp through the city of Orange. While some teachers were friendly and engaging with the children, some were very impatient, indifferent and I watched as they mocked a 6/7 year old while she was crying for cutting her toe. This was advertised as gymnastics instruction to the child's level however it was just active daycare. I was happy my daughter enjoyed the trampoline, games and slip'n-slide but after a week 10-3 pm and me asking three different teachers for help, she was never instructed on how to even somersault correctly. I understand

We've been coming here for a little over a year now, my daughter has made tremendous progress! From barley being able to attempt a cartwheel, to cartwheeling all over the place. All of the staff and all of the coaches that my daughter has interacted with have been very friendly and knowledgeable. There are plenty of different classes depending on your child's age and skill level and they have both recreational and competitive gymnastics. It's a great way to keep your children active, teach them to follow instructions and be social with other kids their age. Your first class is even

I can appreciate the free class to see if my child would like it. What I don't appreciate it when the class is over my child is left in a corner while her teacher walks away. As she walked by me I had to ask her if the class was over. She said yes, "oops I thought ur daughter walked to you". Thank you for paying attention to her. It's unfortunate bc my daughter had fun. I understand you have 5 toddlers to look after, but my daughter is 3 years old and very shy. She is a good listener and takes instruction very well when it is given to her. I kept my eyes on her the whole time

We signed our child up for a gymnastic class through the city. Everyone is friendly but there is absolutely no instructions. It's just a chaotic mess. Here's a card, take it to this person in the bright shirt. Well all the instructors have a bright shirt on the floor.
Our instructor was friendly but definitely young with no clue how to handle shy kids. It may be a great place if you've got a confident kid and know what you're doing. However, if you are trying this as a beginner course and have a timid child, this place and my instructor is not a good match.

Was invited here for a birthday party. It was fun. Huge space but I felt like there could have a been a little more instruction for the children but over all they had a good time. They also should have coupons for the guests so they can try the classes sometime. (Great advertising tip for you free of charge ) not sure I would go back. Enjoyed the Kips Gymnastics party experience better.

I am NOT happy with the way the NEW kids are trained. No matter what age group the children are, when they are new, they NEED PROPER TRAINING and making sure the kids dont fet hurt! The teachers are KIDS themselves and CARELESS and that scares me half to death. I have more than one child and we started a week ago and my children have gotten so many injuries after ONE WEEK that im cancelling and asking for my money back! This place is SMALL eith Too many kids and 18 year old TEACHERS who are in high school!!!

I love this gym especially for tumbling. It's $118 for 8 weeks of 1 hour class per week. There's a good coach to student ratio and their training is really good. They have two trampolines, a tumble track, very nice gymnastics stuff and spring floors. There staff is super friendly and nice. They make it easy to pick up on new skills! I really really really recommend this gym.
