This place is awful. The buildings were constructed cheap. The walls are paper thin. The communal washing machines are disgusting and ancient. They frequently break down mid cycle, they smell bad, and the timers are way off. There is no preventative maintenance so the buildings are in constant need of emergency repair. Lakeside staff blames the unit owners for everything. The office management team is staffed by three of the laziest, rudest people you will encounter. They do not notify residents of loud planned construction because they say it would be too much work for them. They could easily

What can I say about Lakeside Village? Well...I've lived here for 12 years...When I first came here with my realtor, I immediately fell in love with the lush landscaping and the history of the place (this used to be part of MGM's backlot back in the day...from the 1930's all the way up until MGM sold the land to a real estate developer in the early… 1970's)...anyway, I digress...Im a newbie compared to some of my neighbors who have been here 30+ years...but I can honestly say it continues to get better. Absolutely gorgeous grounds...a great management team...a strong board that always works

Walls are thin, HOA does not get involved in neighbor disputes, they now allow dogs and they want to build a playground - between the crazy neighbors, barking dogs, screaming and crying children, loud old air conditioning units, and more folks living within a single small unit, not an ideal living situation.

We're recent transplants from NJ, enjoying the good life in Culver City in the very well run Lakeside Village community. Security and maintenance are friendly and helpful; the beautiful landscaped grounds make our lives a pleasure every day! Everyone who visits us talks about the wonderful peace and quiet. We walk to shops, post office, library and community activities - we hike nearby Baldwin Hills - we're close to restaurants and movies in downtown Culver City.

This morning a Squirrel entered our unit via the chimney. It was an unnerving experience. I found out the same thing happened to my neighbor downstairs about 2 weeks ago. The squirrels have become aggressive and keep their destructive activity on our balconies. Chewing up plants and leaving waste matter. We are afraid to sleep in our units at nite without closing every door and windows. I have a young child and these vermin carry disease and virus, not to mention fleas and lice. Something must be done about this.

I've lived here for over thirty years. I was on the Board for three years, about four years ago. When I first moved here in 1985, I was single, then married, then a parent, and now a single senior. I have found all lifestyles easily served within this lovely complex and surrounding great community of Culver City. I started a Mom's Grouo here… that met weekly for twenty-six years. From her daughter...Apparently elevators in the 12000 building will be out of service FOR 4 TO 6 WEEKS from 9.21.15 to 10.30.15. For residents who are elderly and.or physically challenged, this plan is TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE and DANGEROUS. These people pay their dues and must pay rent and.or mortgages. WHAT DOES MANAGEMENT EXPECT THEM TO DO. In case of fire, how are they to exit the building??
