5 stars for Ashley at a New Twist! I'm sure everyone there is great and I know the salon is super clean and boutique style, but Ashley is the very best!
I came to her with one of the worst hair scenarios- damaged bleached blonde, greys, aging hair, uneven hair, cuz I cut it at home myself when the ends are split, and after almost 2 years with her, my hair is starting to bounce back, we've really made progress! Marie did my hair today and she did exactly what I wanted. It was a pretty big change for me but she was so professional and made me feel very comfortable. She did such a great job and would highly recommend her.

Great salon! I see Marie Hennesy; she does a great job, is responsive to your ideas but will also tell you if it won't work and offer suggestions on how to get the look you want. Clean place, and they are following all Covid protocols.

Marie is the best! I scheduled and appointment with her completely oblivious to what kind of cut I wanted and she told me about a very specific way to cut curly hair which I had never even heard about before. Every other stylist I went too did the typical wash and cut while wet technique, but Marie showed me the Deva Cut technique!! Me and my curls are definitely grateful we found her!

I went with Ellie and I liked her job. She is very easy going and not overly chatty. He mainly used a razor to cut my short hair. Even though I was a little worried, it came out nice.

Ellie and her team did my hair and makeup along with the whole wedding party and everyone was so happy and looked so beautiful! Ellie also did my hair and makeup trial (Bride) and my mother in law's trial (mother of the groom)! So happy to have used Ellie and her team! What a beautifully perfect day all around!

Fabulous experience with Elie today, much needed haircut. You are treated promptly, sign in and temp taken, hand sanitizer there. She will gown you up, then to her chair to discuss what I wanted, washed, cut dryer for a bit and she finished with styling. Awesome lady and Salon

I had originally thought that this salon was illegally open during the COVID-19 pandemic, however, this was my mistake. The salon in question was actually Charlie's Barber Shop right next-door to A New Twist.

I love this place! My go to stylist is Ashley. She's very personable, and funny. Really keeps you in a good mood the whole time! I'm not a big fan of people messing with my hair, have had a few bad experiences elsewhere. So being able to enjoy the cut was really great! She cut my hair perfectly to my vision and then some, I feel awesome in my hairstyle.

I very much enjoyed my time at A New Twist today. Great haircut by Jalisa. I enjoyed a glass of wine during my cut. I will definitely be returning.

I walked in with hair like straw and Stacey spun it into gold! I got low lights, cut and a style. Stacey was very knowledgeable and nice to talk to. The price was quite reasonable, a bargain actually for the transformation she created for me. Thank you so much!

Yesterday I was in a bind. My regular stylist got sick and needed to cancel my appointment with less than a day's notice. Normally this wouldn't be a problem, but I'm going to a wedding tomorrow and really needed a touch up.

A New Twist was highly rated on Yelp so I called. Ellie (the owner) came to my rescue and hooked me up with one of her stylists. I got an appointment within 2 hours... I was so relieved.

Stacey greeted me with a welcoming smile when I walked in. I provided my color formula and she did a fabulous job with my touch up. She listened to what I wanted style wise

I recently moved back to Scripps ranch and was in need of a stylist. I came across a new twist here on yelp. I checked out reviews and their website. Everything looked great! Especially the part it's in Poway- the salon is only a 10 min. Drive!
I was matched with Stacey and I'm so thankful to have met her!! I had a grown out ombré and wanted to get my blonde a silver tone. My actual goal is a full baylage/ombré silver/grey/white color. Well, I visited her twice and my hair gets sooo many compliments!! The bottom half is already a pretty silver toned while the top is still a blonde

Ellie did an amazing job on my hair and makeup for my wedding day!! She made it look effortless... which is hard because the amount of hair I have usually takes hours to curl, only to fall straight in minutes. Ellie has been cutting and styling my hair for 12 years and I can never replace her. She is fantastic and I have seen some of the brides she was working on while in the salon and all I can say is WOW.

Ellie is the best! She has done my hair (cuts, color, roots, highlights) for several years. She gives good advice and has competitive prices.
She and other stylists in the salon have also done my daughter's hair, including pink accent streaks, ombre, whatever the latest teen fad is. In addition, Ellie did the most amazing job with my daughter's hair and make-up for homecoming last fall - she looked so beautiful!

I have gone to Ellie for over 7 years for cuts, color, hair styling and makeup for personal occasions and professional photo shoots and live performances. SHE IS AMAZING! She is so kind and fun and a true professional! She is so talented! My absolute favorite stylist ever!

As a guy, I typically have to pick between a bad or an expensive haircut. That changed when I met Ellie. She does a fantastic job at a great price. I have recommended her to all my friends and family who immediately loved her. I would give her and her salon 6 stars if I could.
