Services
Boat may leave prior to scheduled departure time if all reservations have checked in. Any walk-ups that were able to board must book a return trip to guarantee the desired departure time. Ferry may shut down early or not operate if there are no scheduled departures. Reservations may be made up to 7 days in advance.
Maddie's Crossing, the very first vessel we acquired and operated. It used to be called the Sunshine Express which was a Lunch cruise on the Lakes in Clermont, FL. It was built right here in Clearwater though, and we are so glad we were able to bring it back! Maddie's Crossing has a capacity of 42 passengers.

Ferry never showed up at the scheduled time (nor was there any sign of it afterwards). Miserable experience waiting in the baking sun like an idiot for a boat that never arrived. Nobody answered their phone #, and there were no signs and no explanations at the marina (any other ferry/tour/boat service either answers or has a message explaining why they may not be running). Those of us waiting for the ferry wasted our time, and gave up.

There are plenty of things to do in Clearwater. But, waiting for the ferry that doesn't show up is not one of the activities I'd recommend to anyone

Reserved a trip for my mom's birthday last weekend from downtown Dunedin to Clearwater and back. The later trip back was cancelled due to weather (which was completely understandable) and communication via call and text was very thorough. The crew in the a.m. on the way out to Clw was amazing and sooo patient. We waited several minutes for these 2 ladies and for whatever reason she couldn't just get on board, we all may never know. I was irritated by her LOL the crew however, was very kind and waited. I would have left them. BE ON BOARD 5 min prior, it's so rude to keep the crew and others waiting

Nice service and a great way to avoid the busy traffic to Clearwater Beach. However, if you wanna hang out worry-free at the beach, not have to watch the time to catch the return ferry, then try to get to the beach early by car, easier for get around to eat and drive around the beautiful beach area.

An early June visit to Dunedin meant we'd need to find a way to the Beach. Rather than sitting in traffic and paying excessive parking fees, we opted for the Clearwater Ferry. We are so glad we did!

Boarding is at the small Marina next to the Best Western hotel. A prompt arrival and departure with a modest load of passengers made for a great start of a beautiful and affordable water journey into CWB. Likewise, the return trip at sunset was an awesome way to wrap up a trip over and back.

If you haven't tried this, whether you're a local or just visiting, I'd highly recommend

Best kept secret in Clearwater. Easy parking. Inexpensive. Beautiful ride. Super awesome staff. I just wish they ran a tad later. I'd love to see the sunset before I have to go back. But in no way a deal breaker.

If you value your time and money while on vacation then I would suggest avoiding this company while Stephanie works there. We arrived a few minutes before one of the departure times and they were already leaving early. We ask approx how long before they return and they stated they would be back in 30 minutes. Over an hour later they return and instead of us boarding the boat, we are instantly yelled at by Stephanie and told they aren’t taking us. When asking why she continued yelling and told us to find another way. We asked if they had any way for us to get back and she yelled again and told

Should be zero. Went to get a new engine. Told everyone that it would be be 45 minutes. Apparently it didn't, but instead of waiting for people after telling them all 45 minutes they came early and left half the passengers. When they arrived an hour later they refused to take the passengers and left us in clearwater. And instead took a empty ferry out of the marina. Insane. When confronted she yelled at everyone and drove away. Came back yelled at us again and then left. Wild experience. May be a pleasant way to travel but an insanely unprofessional way to conduct a business. Avoid the mystery

They made our trip absolutely amazing. We felt welcomed, they helped us navigate through our Clearwater experience. Quick response time. Very helpful. I would definitely recommend taking the ferry rather than driving! So convenient. Thank you!

Great ferry trip from Dunedin to Clearwater! This service is available on the weekends only- Friday- Sunday. I would highly recommend it. Everyone in my party enjoyed the relaxing trip to and from Clearwater. Beats sitting in traffic and looking for expensive parking. Boat staff was very friendly. I will definitely use this service again.

Planned to visit Clearwater Beach. Found that there is a ferry from downtown and free parking at downtown. Adult one way $4 child $2 . Family of 4 can get you $20 for round trip. You can avoid parking fees at beach and have ferry experience. Staff was very nice and they remembered and waited for us on return. Nice people.

Another A+ adventure that we stumbled upon.

While trying to figure out to do with with out of town visitors my husband suggested the Clearwater Ferry (even though he has never been on it or knows anything about it) .. a bit of googling we had tickets and knew what time to arrive at the ferry.

We departed from the Downtown Clearwater stop, and there is not a lot super close to the ferry dock (shops / restaurants up the hill a few blocks). Ferry boarded 15 min. before departure and it dropped us at Pier 60 / Clearwater Beach

We got off the ferry walked to a lunch place called Crabbys, then across

The ferry is a very convenient way to travel the boat staff are friendly and nice and very helpful with information if you need it. It's a great view of the Bay. It takes you to a variety of stops. You need to check the ferry map for instructions and information. The times that I went weren't very crowded. So there was no line at all. There are two different types of fairies I've seen a large one, and a smaller one. Check my pictures for a video and views.

We made reservations on July 2 about 10am, 4 children and 2 adults, the website conf, and we paid. We tried to go Saturday 14th 1:15 time from Dunedin to Clearwater Beach and they told us we did not have a reservation, or booked on the blue line. None of this information was on the website when we book, and we show our conf resv, and the amount we paid to the girl working on the ferry, and how we booked off the website, with all info on the conf piece of paper. She then told us this was wrong, and make another reservation with our smart phone. Well we do not have a smart phone, and she would

This is the perfect mode of transportation to visit the crowded beaches in Clearwater. We attempted to drive to the beach and was unable to find any parking. We decided to try the ferry and loved every minute of it. The parking is free when using the ferry. The rates are very reasonable and affordable. The ride across the bay can be considered another family adventure. This sure beat the high cost of parking which was $25 and reduced the stress of the traffic.

I wish I had heard of this years ago. One of the worst things about visiting a festival in Clearwater Beach is the traffic and the parking. This was the cure for both problems. Easy parking and a leisurely boat ride and you are dropped off at the marina on the other side of the roundabout from pier 60. Plus if you are more of a trolley person there is a stop next door to the ferry launch. It saves so much hassle and aggravation. The boats were nice and comfortable and the staff was professional.

Skip the expensive parking nightmare on Clearwater Beach.

Clearwater Ferry will take you to the beach and back for just $8. Plenty of free parking next to the docking pier. It operates for most of the day.

You'll be way less stressed if you choose this for your beach day. The only tip I have is to have a sweater for night rides back because it can get chilly on the water at least in the spring and winter.

We just moved to Clearwater a couple months ago and learned real quick that the only logical option for getting to the beach is via ferry...parking is EXTREMELY limited on Clearwater Beach (we circled around for 45 minutes for dinner on a Friday night) AND you have to pay to park (at least in the areas we were looking). We now only take the water ferry over to spend a day or night at the beach. Parking at the downtown marina is free, it's $8 roundtrip per person, and the schedule runs frequently and late! 12am is their last pickup time from the Northshore location. So you factor in $10+ for

What a fun experience! We had people in our group ages 3 yrs-88 yrs and we all had a BLAST! We took the ferry both ways=2 trips total and saw dolphins both times! Each time the Captain cut the motor and idled just so we could enjoy and take pictures. Both Captains and First Mates were very friendly and with coupons we were handed upon arrival we paid approximately half of what we had calculated. We would have been totally fine paying full price as it was worth every penny. Can't wait to do it again!

I have been a fan of the ferry since it has opened. But lately my feelings have changed. Over the last two months, using the ferry has been more of a struggle than it is worth. It seems like their new employees have no idea what is going on or how to communicate with people who are willing to use their service. It's another great idea in theory, yet their execution could improve. For example properly communicating the real arrival schedule, having individuals queued up in line pre-pay so they can quickly get on the ferry upon arrival and have an employee count off the queue to mark where the

The ferry is the best! The parking is free and you don't have to waste your gas and time sitting on the bridge. There are multiple stops for various places on the beach. Cheap too!

How convenient! We had visitors in town who wanted to do a dolphin tour. Worried about parking and traffic, we tool the ferry. Plenty of parking in the area and the schedule is posted. For $2 one way, that's not too bad. You get to sit back, enjoy the beautiful scenery, while being taken to your destination. Bring a jacket though, it ends up getting breezy at night.

You can't beat this deal!! $8 per person for unlimited trips for a day between Clearwater and Clearwater Beach. Used them to bypass the bridge traffic to get to Clearwater for the centennial celebration and fireworks show. Took about 10 mins to make the trip. The captain and first mate were awesome and even gave us their boat cell number to call in case we came back late and they were not at the dock yet. I imagine this is probably the best deal if you are going to the beach because you can park for free near coachman park and take the ferry past the gridlocked bridge to the beach....unless
