Spencer Consulting's mission is to provide time management, project management, and stress management seminars and consulting to lawyers and legal professionals in order to help them become more productive, less stressed, and more satisfied with their careers and their lives.

Margaret Spencer Dixon is a lawyer and consultant specializing in time management, project management, and stress management seminars for lawyers and legal professionals. Ms. Dixon came to the field of organization and time management by way of a career in law, during which she practiced in the litigation and energy groups of the law firm formerly known as Shaw Pittman in Washington, D.C.
Time is a unique resource. It cannot be accumulated like money or stockpiled like raw materials. We are forced to spend it, whether we choose to or not, and at a fixed rate of sixty seconds every minute. It cannot be turned on and off like a machine or replaced like a man. It is irretrievable. Good time management is an essential skill for the successful lawyer.
Spencer Consulting has a variety of basic seminars which can be used as starting points for a customized program. Topics from each of these seminars may be mixed and matched to create a program covering multiple topics. Topics from each of these seminar may also be condensed or omitted in order to create programs shorter than two hours in length.
Of all the elements you have to work with, none is more precious than time. You have invested years learning the substance of the law. Now invest a few hours to learn the productivity-enhancing techniques of organization and time management, and how to apply them every day to do more work in less time.
This program combines time management and project management techniques which junior (first- and second-year) associates can use to juggle multiple assignments successfully. The first section describes six key organizational tools, and the second section address the key techniques for using these tools to accomplish multiple tasks with a minimum of waste, expense, and unnecessary effort.
