The Illiana communities have been committed to the principle of Christian education for over 100 years. By 1911, Christian elementary schools were established in Highland, Lansing, Munster, South Holland and more recently, Crown Point. The basic requirement is that the families are Christians and are active in a Christian church.

Illiana Christian High School is founded on the Bible as interpreted in the Reformed creeds. Illiana Christian High School is a co-educational, private, Christian high school located in Dyer, IN. It is operated by an association of Reformed Christians (people who follow the biblical understandings of John Calvin) for the benefit of their children and the children of other Christian families.

The academics may mot have as much as a public school but this school provided a moral foundation, a sens3 of purpose and self adfiromarom. I am mixed race and gender nonbimary but the teachers here always taught me God made me the way I am, I did not even conceive of myself that way but I was taught I was part of the diversity of god’s kingdom, I attended UW Madison, Northwestern and UPenn after. At UW Madison I met peole who were truly dark about the world so I really csm3 back to my Iliana roots. I am disabled now in a wheelchair for mthe Army and MS but was able to feel purpose.
