Inspire Dance Centre is dedicated to the use of a well-structured syllabus for all dance techniques. An age appropriate syllabus that takes into consideration both physical and mental development to ensure the best and safest results in dance education. We are dedicated to teaching in a positive, caring way while maintaining a disciplined atmosphere that challenges each student to excel.
As a Pre-Professional classical ballet based school, we strive to inspire our community of Gresham, Oregon, and surrounding East County areas through complete dance education and performances of the highest artistic caliber. We are a dance studio dedicated to educating and training every dancer in a supportive environment that challenges and elevates the students with the highest standard of excellence in all of our dance classes.
Born in Seattle, Washington. Debbie started dance classes at the age of five. She took tap, jazz and ballet but quickly became aware that ballet would become her main focus. She went on to study at the prestigious Cornish School of the Arts. Her father's employment was transferred to Portland, Oregon and this is where she continued intensive study under Jacqueline Shumacher at Portland Ballet School.
Tuition rates are based on the average number of hours a student dances per week each month. Monthly tuition rates can be found here. View Tuition rates. A student will typically take any class at or below their level for a make-up. Make up classes must take place within the same month as the missed class.
Our teacher's schedules do not allow for a break between classes. You are very important to us so please leave a message for the teacher at the front desk or you can call or email at any time to schedule an appropriate time to meet if you want to speak in person. Everyone is encouraged to participate in the annual dance recital in June.

My daughter Kaitlyn and I LOVE Inspire Dance Centre!!! After moving here from California we have felt like we are right at home and very welcome!! We have been at Inspire Dance Centre for a little over a year and my daughters dancing has improved leaps and bounds and her confidence is through the roof!! I honestly don't know what we would do with out the excellent teachers and staff!! They make corrections where they are needed and are so encouraging to my daughter to do her best! Highly recommend this studio!

My daughter has been going to Inspire now going on three years! She is going to be 5 soon and will be in this years nutcracker production for the first time! So glad this school is giving her an opportunity to spread her wings and do what she enjoys!! Ballet and hip hop!! All the families in the studio have been so warm and friendly! I moved my daughter to Inspire because she was ready for a more rigorous dance education. She was there for not quite a year (one season), and overall, it was a very negative experience. The dance instruction IS rigorous, but we found it to be anything but inspiring. A harsh environment is cultivated, and it is not at all unusual for students to be humiliated in class and made to cry. The ballet training is excellent, and good ballet leads to better dance styles overall. Debbie Pierce (the studio owner) has years of experience and it's profoundly obvious that her dancers are skilled.
The teachers are fantastic. The classes aren't huge, so you aren't getting lost in a sea of kids. The studio is expanding to add another classroom. Can't wait!
