My son's dress shoes needed repair so I took them to this place on a friend's recommendation. They installed new heels and made the shoes look new again. Reasonable rates and worth every penny. Excellent service from the owner and employees. I went in with a new leather iPhone case that did not have a camera hole, and in a desperate attempt, thought a cobbler/leather worker might be able to help me.

I brought my Thorogood mock toe work boots to Ray’s to have them Resoled. He put new vibriam soles on, cleaned them up and conditioned them, you could see the time, pride and care that was put into the craftsmanship, true professional’s.
They did a great job and the boots look new. I definitely recommend them them for any shoe, boot or leather related work.

I went to Ray’s for help fixing a buckle on my Bear Paw boots. He was honest and said he would do his best, but admitted the buckle might snap. I decided to give him permission to try anyway, because I couldn’t wear them if the buckle wasn’t fixed. To my surprise, he was able to fix it (good enough to close) and it didn’t snap!! Not only did he do it in only 1 day’s time, but the minimal amount he charged was unreal! I will go to him as long as he is in business and I suggest you all give him an opportunity to fix your shoes/boots!

Ray's does it again!
Another fine job re-soling my boots. This time I asked for a harder Vibram rubber that would last longer on the streets than the original soft hiking sole (and ones which I also specified in their first replacement.)
Well... They came back built as tough as can be! And the craftsmanship is top-notch, put together with great attention as not to damage these old favorites.
Just to note... The Vibram's aren't exactly like the original Timberlands. They, the originals, had a more refined look having a thinner sole. But for a replacement? I truly believe it&apos

Ray was so nice and professional and even after I was told by another shoe shop my boots were unrepairable, Ray brought them back to life! There were holes in the bottom of both which I've now been wearing in the snow and they're leak free! I'd be very happy to use Ray's Shoes again and would also recommend to anyone who needs!

So far they have:
-Stopped my work boots from digging into my ankle so bad that I couldn't walk.
-Helped me be able to maintain my dress shoes
-Given advise on shoe construction so I am able to make better decisions when buying new shoes.
Honestly I'm going to keep coming here for all of my shoe issues. Everyone behind the counter is kind, non judgmental, respectful, and knowledgeable. I haven't had any major shoe repair done here but if I need to in the future I'll come straight here.

I've been using Ray's to repair my shoes for years. I've even used them to repair a few bags, too. Every time has been a great experience - fast service, and my shoes always come back better than I could expect. I recently moved out of the area (30 mins away) and I still drive back to Ronkonkoma to get my repairs done here. Just something to note - they're cash only, and you have to leave a 50% deposit, so bring cash with you when you drop off.

If I could give 0 stars I would!!! The man at the counter was so rude and nasty. I just went in there with the shoes I am wearing for my wedding and naturally never having a pair of shoes stretched and also being that they are my wedding shoes I asked all of 5 questions. He wouldn't allow me to leave the box for the shoes meanwhile there's people shopping bags all over the floor. He ripped my ticket and says if ur not comfortable maybe u should've do this an he said that he didn't want me to leave my shoes bc I was a liability. Grabbed them and left. Who does that!!! one I think

I have been using them on and off for years. I brought in a pair of Birkenstock of my daughters that were trashed. When I went to pick them up they looked brand new. My son was going to throw out 2 pairs of shoes that he completely ruined, they also now look new.
I highly recommend him. Just remember its cash only.

The person behind the counter was so rude! I wanted to have a pair of shoes dyed. I called ahead and the person on the phone was very nice and made up a color sample for me. I thought the color looked lavender rather than silver so i asked if they had any color swatches. He told me I had to bring in a sample to match them to. I had my 2 little kids with me and really didn't want to come back. I asked if he could just match a pair of shoes that were on the shelf that looked silver and he refused. I'm really not very hard to please but this guy was so rude I just packed up the shoes and kids and

I brought in my LV Neverfull tote after accidentally ripping one of the decorative straps off on a door knob. I was anxious about the repairs but needed it fixed. I dropped the bag off and for a fair price they told me it would be ready in just a few days. When I picked up the bag and inspected it I couldn't even tell which of the two decorative straps had been repaired. They did such an excellent job. I would highly recommend this shop.

My experience really couldn't be better. I brought in my favorite pair of Cole Haan dress shoes and I was skeptical about their ability to resole them. They had a hole on the sole and the heel was worn out. When they were done, the shoes were better than the original and the price was well worth it. Dropping off another pair this weekend.

I am absolutely pleased with the shoe repair job I received at Ray's. I had these really expensive italian shoes that had virtually no sole by design to give the shoe a very sleek, slender and classy look. Although it was a beautiful looking shoe, the construction of the shoe wasn't made for everyday use. After a couple of months the heel of the shoe started to wear significantly and I didn't want the heartbreak of tossing them so I took them to Ray's and he was fantastic. He really was patient and understood that I wanted to improve the durability of the shoe without changing
