From the moment we walked in until we left My husband and I were completely satisfied with every single thing. We have 3 small kids and they warmly welcomed us and were extremely accommodating with a great kids menu, putting our kids order in first, and coloring things. The food was delicious and they were exceptional working around my food allergy. The server was attentive and just so warm, nice, and helpful. We go out to eat a decent amount and this was thr best service we have had in a long time. This is 30 minutes from our house but we most definitely will make the drive to make this a regular

I ate here for dinner in December 2021 while visiting from out of town. Our group of 3 was able to walk in without a reservation on a packed Thursday night. The service was excellent and the food was cooked perfectly! I ordered a steak medium rare and it came out absolutely perfect. The prices were very reasonable ($32 for ribeye and sides, $8 dessert) and the wait time was on par with what we expected. The timing of appetizers, bread, salad, and entrees was well spaced so it didn't feel like we were waiting long for anything. The beer on tap was cold and tasted fresh. The dinnerware and silverware

Wonderful Thanksgiving Dinner at River City Grill Thursday. The traditional Turkey Dinner was outstanding. Our waiter, Drew, was extremely attentive, despite the abundance of hungry diners in his charge. Doug was as usual the perfect host. Chatting with him and another old friend, his new “sidekick” Phil Cerciello, was a bonus. 2022 begins a new chapter in life and RCG is squarely in the plans. You’ll be seeing more of “us”!

Delightful from A to Z. Very nice and clean Restaurant in the heart of Punta Gorda. A friendly greeting at the entrance sets the tone. Explaining the options between two restaurants, inside or outside seating. Or if just in the mood for a handcrafted cocktail, a long Bar to the right of the entrance seem to be the right place to be.
Service is professional and friendly. The choices on the menu balanced between land and sea. We tried 2 appetizers, both the shrimp and calamari were perfectly prepared. The Madagascar Shrimp as main course were the right choice, and not quite as spicy as anticipated

Scallop special with maple butter was delicious. the pasta shrimp was great too. our friend said the beef was ok. I found the atmosphere a little dark and dreary. Recommend to sit outside. Service was good. The chocolate cookie/brownie for dessert and it was yummy. Not a fine wine kind of place but good food.

Great downtown Punta Gorda restaurant. The City River Grill, and Italia, are joined retaurants. The food is excellent. The menu perfect for this style American restaurant. The Italia has a Italian food menu and is different from the Grill side. The servers are friendly and efficient. The decor suits the restaurant style. The only gripe we had is that the booths are small. A large person would not fit.

Went there for dinner last night with friends. We’re headed to another restaurant and hear good things so stopped here instead.
A couple of things to know about RC
1. Boom Boom shrimp Appetizer was very good. A different subtle boom boom sauce that was wonderful
2. I and my friend had the schnitzel and really liked it
3. Wife had the salmon special and it was perfectly cooked
4. Friend had a steak seen below - almost seemed blackened - she really liked it
5. Place is Very large
6. Extensive menu with a lot of choices
7. Entrees range from $18 to $30
