Angie and her photographs are amazing! I threw a big 40th birthday party and wasn't sure if I should hire a photographer. After giving it some thought I decided to and I'm so glad I did. Angie was so fun and engaging and took beautiful photographs. I love that she divided the photographs into 3 sections when she sent me the pictures. All of my friends and family love the photos and keep telling me that she did an awesome job capturing the fun night. Just this morning my aunt called to ask where I found Angie because she thought the photographs were some of the best she's ever seen

DO NOT HIRE this person!!! I had a in person meeting with Angela back in March and she was very nice and charged me real quickly to photo shoot my wedding on 12/31/2019. Ever since then I have NOT heard back from her. I have sent her various emails, phone calls and even left her messages on instagram- never heard a word back from her!!! At the same time, she has been keep posting pictures on instagram so I know she is alive!

Let me preface all of this by saying that we paid her the full amount the day of. Foolish, I know...My firm hired Angie to do some headshots and group shots for business purposes. On December 15th, 2016. She was 45 minutes late, but professional while taking the photos. So, that was very promising. The months following? NOPE.
Now, I realize that editing photos can take some time and that a photographer's schedule can be very hectic. BUT, Angie completely ignored multiple calls and emails from myself and 2 of my coworkers starting in late January. Somehow she found time to Tweet and update

I am a caterer and I hired Angie to shoot an event I was catering. It was actually 3 clients at one event and I was really busy. She came in, managed all of her work and no one even knew she was there. When I had a spare moment, she gently took the time to make sure she knew everything I wanted her to capture. I was quite pleased with the results. I have been using the photos for several purposes, from Yelp to my website to my first print ad in a bridal magazine. We are beginning to cater more weddings and I am excited to recommend Angie to all of my clients.

I took a class Angie taught on "iphoneography". I was part of a small group of 4 other professional woman, who hired her to teach us to make better use of our smartphone cameras. The class was very helpful, and Angie did a good job of teaching and explaining to us how to use the iPhone and gave us some great tips.meeting us where we were at- major amateurs She walked us through a few photography basics and showed us the effects of various settings in the built-in camera app. Talked about natural light outside and artificial light inside and how to use it to your advantage. My wife hired Angie to take our engagement photos. The session went well and Angie and her assistant seemed professional. We got a link to the photos online, but the composition wasn't quite what we had hoped for. Angie let us download one photo for our Save the Date card. Communication was inconsistent, as well as the explanation of costs. We ultimately decided to use another photo service for the wedding. After we paid Angie for the engagement session, we were blocked from viewing the online proofs and not given access to the digital photo files, despite making several requests.

I wanted to update my review of Angela Garbot photography as I have also purchased a photograph (art) for my office which my patients love.
I am so impressed with Angela's photography skills - for my own headshots as well as this beautiful image hanging in one of my treatment rooms. She's a gifted artist and very good at what she does. Another plus is the photo makes me smile every time I see it! If you are looking for beautiful photography for your home or office I recommend her work.

My wife and I recently hired Angie to take some pictures of our daughter. We had used a different photographer for her one month old pictures and although we liked the pictures, we weren't really impressed. When it came time for the six month pictures a friend had recommended Angie and we set it up. Angie's ability as a photographer blew us away! The pictures are fantastic and we can definitely tell the difference between a professional and someone who dabbles in photography.

Our event was a HUGE success thanks to Angela and Sebastian went out of their way to make our Chicago trip a memorable one. Angie shot our wedding in August 2011 (and engagement photos in June) and we could not be more pleased. Right from the beginning, Angie was nothing but professional & responsive... And she has a sense of humor - necessary for my very sarcastic husband!

Angie shot our September wedding (and engagement photos prior to that) I can't say enough great things about her.
She is fun and engaging to work with, creative and easygoing, yet she is great at taking charge and getting large groups in line for photos.

Angie is the best photographer I have ever worked with. I first worked with Angie when I needed to have some headshots done. Fast forward 3 years to our wedding. We never even thought about another photographer. Angie was amazing! We worked with her on our engagement photo's. She thought of some great places to go - and our pictures came out so amazingly well! We couldn't believe it was us (in a good way of course)! When it came to the wedding itself, Angie was amazing! Angie at Photos by Garbot took photos for my website, and I'm very pleased with the results. Like most people, I don't particularly enjoy having my photo taken, so initially, I was skeptical about the prospect of finding even a single photo I was happy with. Angie made the entire process easy and gave me subtle direction which helped tremendously. The lighting was great and the angles she took the photos from were flattering, so even the un-retouched photos looked great. In the end, I had so many great photos that I actually had a hard time choosing which ones to use on my site.
