Rio Hondo Condominiums is in Taos Ski Valley conveniently located directly next door to the Children's Ski School, the beginner hill and the new gondola (that goes to the base area restaurants and shops) and the new three-seat lift which you can ride up and then ski down to lift 1. Lift 1 takes skiers up the front side of the mountain and provides access to all mountain terrain.

Taos; a place where the desert meets the mountains, the sunshine meets the snow, and cultures connect. Originally founded by miners back in 1800, Taos Ski Valley as we know it was founded by Ernie and Rhoda Blake in 1955 and transformed into a world class ski destination. With an average snowfall of 120 inches and an average of over 300 days of sunshine, Taos Ski Valley is the perfect winter wonderland.
Once you are in Taos Ski Valley heading down into the large parking lot, you will pass 3 parking lots on your right, take the 4th right on to Firehouse Rd. There is a large sign at the beginning of this road, with Children's Center, Village Offices, Kandahar. The office is in the building on the left as you pull into the parking lot, with the glass door entrance.

Looking forward to our 4th summer at Rio Hondo! We have a large family (7) and this suits our needs perfectly. The sounds from the rushing water just outside our back door, the stunning views from the balcony, and cozy place for family game time have made Rio Hondo one our family favorites!
Over the years we have stayed in different units, each with it's own special charm. Kathryn (manager ) has gone out of her way to ensure we had knowledge of the area, restaurants, attractions, and everything we needed in our residence.

Excellent location, well appointed condos, friendly and helpful staff.
Our stay at the Rio Hondo during the Holiday Season turned out to be a highly enjoyable one. The location lived up to the billing as we could walk across the parking lot to put our kids into ski school as well as buy our lift tickets. We made our way to the main lift (#1 at the base) by the ski school lifts or the parking lot shuttle. The condo fit our family of five quite well. Master bedroom was well furnished. Really enjoyed hanging out in the great room of the condo--allowed for lots of family time. Hot tub and sauna were

Absolutely wonderful experience!!!! The first night, we arrived after business hours and Kathryn and her team left my check-in packet with the key. What I was impressed with was that they left the light on in the condo making it feel welcoming after a 12-he drive. The unit was a 1-minute walk to the slopes and a shuttle that takes you to the main ski village! I highly recommend Rio Hondo Condominiums; I promise you will not be disappointed!!!
