Since 1996 we have been a leader in home health care services. You may know us by our previous name, Heritage Home Healthcare of Elyria and Rocky River. But today we come to you as Berkshire Homecare. We offer top-of-the-line healthcare right to your home or senior residence. We pride ourselves on pairing up the best healthcare professionals for your specific needs.
Everyone knows that nurses are a very special type of person, but our team is made up of highly trained individuals who bring their knowledge, expertise, and years of experience to our home healthcare facility. Our skilled nurses are attentive and focused on your health issues. Their goal is to provide diligent service as needed and be the eyes and ears of the physician in his or her absence.
We offer three types of therapies at home; Physical, Occupational and Speech. Our therapists work directly for our company. They work with the nursing staff and the patient's physicians to develop a plan of therapy that will serve the patient's needs. Our director of Physical Therapy brings an extensive background on administering effective treatments and stays up-to-date on the latest trends.
All of our health care services are offered on a private duty or "private pay" basis. As we all know, health care at home can be a bit tricky when it comes to insurance coverage. If your insurance company will not pay for the level of care that you need or you do not have insurance that will cover our services, you can pay us directly.
Our personal help buttons can be worn on the wrist (mxd only) or around the neck as a pendant. These lightweight units are a must have for today's senior. When the button is pressed on any unit, it will make an immediate call to our monitoring center. The 911 trained monitoring agents will assess the situation, send emergency responders if needed, alert family and/or friends of the situation and stay on the call until it's over.

Berkshire has been a great place for me since I started a few months ago. I have amazing relationships with the staff and mostly my clients! They’re very flexible with your schedule and will support you regardless of what you have going on outside of the workplace. Me being a nursing student, this job has benefited me solely because of the flexibility which doesn’t clash with my school schedule. I would recommend Berkshire as a starting point to getting the experience in healthcare and if you really want to become a Nurse, Doctor, STNA, etc this is the place for you!

It has been such a pleasure working with Berkshire Homecare the past two years as a home health aide. They truly are a great company to work for! Berkshire is always there for their clients and always want to know how they are doing! They are also amazing to their employees. Even though this position requires you to be at a clients home, you get to know the entire office staff, when you call, check in or stop in the office to drop off time sheets as well. They have a terrific open door policy and have great communication with employees. They have flexible schedules and work with you on anything

I have been with this company for about 3 years. This job has been my longest job I've held ever. Anyway, being with this company has given me hope in the human race ! You see, the women here are hard working and they actually give a damn about the people. They are understanding, kind, and easy to talk to! When I first started with this company, I was having the worse luck. 2 deaths in the family back to back. Car issues, baby sitting issues, was even almost homeless, and they stood by my side. I almost lost my job due to deeper, personal issues and Lisa❣️.. oh that Lisa stuck her neck out
