Thank you to the students at Westlake High School for making this video for our patients at Rae-Ann Suburban. The students adopted a few of our patients through a school program. Rae-Ann's STNA (State Tested Nursing Assistant) Training Program prepares candidates to complete the Ohio certification test and to work in long-term care, skilled nursing, rehabilitation, hospital, home healthcare, and other medical care settings.

Rae-Ann has offered the finest in skilled nursing services since 1974. All of our staff members are Rae-Ann employees, not agency personnel, and many have been with us for decades. We maintain a high staff-to-patient ratio and design every aspect of our program around the needs of our patients. Send your application now!
Services
Visit any Rae-Ann skilled nursing and rehabilitation center or our assisted living facility and you'll soon see that Rae-Ann is different. Whether your family member is with us for assisted living, short-term rehabilitation following surgery or a stroke, or long-term skilled nursing care, every member of our team is committed to delivering an exceptional experience.
Generations of families in greater Cleveland, Westlake, and Geneva have trusted Rae-Ann to care for their loved ones for 45 years. One reason is the quality of the care we provide. Here's why so many families in Northeast Ohio trust Rae-Ann for skilled nursing, rehabilitation, and assisted living.
In 1974, Ray and Mary Ann Griffiths founded the first Rae-Ann skilled nursing facility. They wanted to call it Ray Mar, a derivative of their names, but that name was taken; hence, "Rae-Ann" was born. The first facility was in Cleveland on Rocky River Drive and more locations were to follow. But, let's take a step back before 1974.
This is the seventh time Rae-Ann Suburban has received this honor. It is the third time that Rae-Ann Westlake has been named to the U.S. News list and the fourth year in a row for Rae-Ann Geneva. All three facilities are part of family-owned Rae-Ann Skilled Nursing & Rehabilitation, Inc.

Each earned a five-star overall score in the latest evaluation by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid (CMS), placing them in the top ranks of the nation's 15,000+ nursing homes.Only 15% of nursing homes in Ohio earned the five-star designation. U.S. News assigned each facility a rating ranging from 1.0 to 5.0, using its own analysis of CMS data.
Whether you're exploring assisted living options or have an immediate need for skilled nursing or rehabilitation, our Admissions Team is ready to take your call 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. A knowledgeable Admissions Coordinator will identify the appropriate Rae-Ann facility for your needs and answer your questions about the facility, forms of payment, insurance coverage, and items to bring upon arrival.

My brother is currently in there. I feel he is not safe and they do not have enough staff. To wait 2 hours to help him get into the bed is RIDICULOUS

The RaeAnn staff took great care of my Mom during her time there. I am so grateful that Mom was there when she passed. The staff went above and beyond helping both her and my sister & I during that difficult time. She passed away peacefully with us by her side. Thank you to all!

Beware if your elderly parents end up in this facility. We were encouraged by all of the marketing...5 star reports blah blah blah. What we experienced would not even qualify for one star. Perhaps the stars represent what their residents are seeing as they are being overly medicated! Upon taking our mother out of this facility, we found out that they quadrupled the medication she was taking for her dementia! They also changed other meds without consultation or notification. This is elder abuse! We saw our mother in a state of neglect. At a 3 pm visit we found our mother undressed (in a hospital

MY FATHER IN LAW WAS AT THIS FACILITY FOR A COUPLE OF MONTHS AND THE. AID BY THE NAME OF ROCK WAS EXCELLENT . I CAN'T SAY ENOUGH ABOUT HER .I REALLY BELEIVE THE PHYSICAL THERAPY REALLY HELP ALOT BECAUSE MY FATHER-IN-LAW HAD A STROKE AND HAD NO MOVEMENT ON HIS LEFT SIDE AND WITHIN A MONTH HE GOT MOST OF HIS MOVEMENT BACK.
I WOULD REALLY LIKE TO EMPHASIZE THE FACT THAT THEY REALLY NEED TO HIRE MORE PEOPLE LIKE ROCK AND HAVE ROCK TRAIN ALL THE NEW STAFF. SHE IS REALLY THE BEST AID I HAVE EVER SEEN. I HOPE SHE GETS THE RECOGNITION SHE TRULY DESERVES.

My father in law is basically held prisoner here, as they threaten to make him pay for his "care" by signing himself out..we are working at that now..sadly he ended up in icu at a local hospital because RaeAnn does not clean him up, change his catheter when needed and allow his bag to overflow..no heroes work here..smh.

I hate to complain but I tried to do this the right way first. The problem is they don't have a listing for Rae Ann Suburban on Yelp so I am posting it here. let me first start out by saying that the staff is amazing when I say staff I mean the nursing staff, the aides, the people that work at night the people that work during the day we're all fantastic and there for me pretty much anytime I needed them. I was there long enough to learn all their names but I can't list them all cuz I would run out of space. But that being said I would like to comment on the billing and people

I would not recommend this facility. I had a family number here and it was a bad experience, from staff not contacting me as asked when things happen, to doing procedures without permission or notification, to the aides who are not well trained. My family member was hurt more than once by incompetent aides, and at least once that I can prove, gave me a false report of how the injury happened. Rae-Ann has another facility owned by someone else right down the street which is completely different! I moved her there and could not be happier. Only sad I had had her at this facility for so long. Do NOT

My mom received very good care at Rae Ann Westlake. They were very attentive to her medical needs. The staff also tried to get to know her on a personal level and learn her likes and dislikes.

I've had two very close people stay here. Both were excellent experiences. The care from the nurses and STNAs are great. I am a nurse and have been to several nursing homes in all of northern Ohio. Rae-Ann Westlake gives the best care, by far, to their residents than any other nursing care facility that I have been to. The care and compassion on a… daily basis really is amazing. I want to extend my praise to the dietary, housekeeping, rehab, and activity departments as well. Thank you all so much for taking great care of my loved ones. Your care DOES NOT go unnoticed.
THANK YOU AC

Awful! My mother was there, and thankfully is in a better facility now. The nurses are lazy and can't be bothered, there is little interaction with the patients, they just put them in the hall. I witnessed and made a complaint regarding a women who works in the dining hall who would literally yell at the elderly. The cooks would cuss and yell. If you can, in my opinion, find a better, kinder and safer place for your loved one.

They have let my Mother in law go without eating for hours. Whenever they do serve her food it is ice cold. For the amount of money she pays per day I could easily have her transferred into four star hotel and she would get better treatment. This place is highly neglective and a major rip off! So disappointed!

My grandfather is in here recovering from a stroke. We went to visit and he was calling loudly for help to use the bathroom. His station is right next to the nurse's station and I went out to tell someone, and the nurse was rude...and didn't ask an aide to help until we asked a second time five minutes later. I'm thinking the nurses here are overworked, but to be rudely told off and made to be felt like I was out of line for asking for help...it made me feel like garbage. My grandpa's mood is way worse here than in his other nursing home.

I have a family member there "recovering" from the flu and pneumonia. Though I have not seen any problems with things being unclean, there are many reasons for concern. First she is given food she is not eating, they do nothing but just come back later and take away the uneaten food. When the nurse call button is pressed it can take an hour or more for someone to come. The doctor only visits her twice a week. They seem woefully understaffed. When the doctor issues orders it can take 12 to18 hours to get implemented and that is only with family pressure. She injured her wrist there

This nursing home is a joke!!! My girlfriend worked there for 2 years. She constantly complained about how the other women that worked there treated the elderly. STNA's would leave elderly people is old diapers and wouldn't change for hours. They are always understaffed and refuse to add enough help to properly care for patients. They would never allow employees to take a break even though it was always deducted from their paychecks. The people that run the nursing home treat employees horrible which is why they have an unbelievable employee turn over. If you are considering working
