The Wessell Family has dedicated over 62 years of caring to the greater Oberlin Community. Welcome Nursing Home was founded in 1945 by Henry and Thelma "Joy" Wessell. Joy and Henry Wessell ran the facility until they retired in 1965. Their eldest son Don then began his career as the facilities administrator following a stint in the US Air Force during the Berlin Crisis.
