Called to get an estimate on repairing/replacing decorative shutters. We had ECS do all of our shutters several years ago under different ownership and they were great. So figured we would call them for the updates that we needed. A tech came out. No one ever followed up with my estimate. I called (3) times to get the estimate and schedule the work to be done and no one could seem to help me. The 4 th time I called I got a younger girl on the phone that cut me off mid sentence and basically told me they couldn’t help me even after I told her they were the ones who originally put the shutters

I am totally disappointed with East Coast Shutters. There service has to be the worse. I had an appointment in September and the Tech called in sick so like a fool I rescheduled. They were supposed to come out on 10/6. I had to call to see where they were. I was told they had finished their first job at 10:30 am and mine was next it is now 12:30 Called at 12:10 PM left a message and Heather called back. Heather was contacting the Tech to see what was happening. Took an hour to get back to me and once again the Tech went home sick. I have now called another company. I really should have looked at

We bought a house in June 2018. The house had shutters installed with a sticker from this company on them. Since we didn't have the paperwork on the shutters (the previous owner took it with them) we called to see if they could get us paperwork saying the shutters were hurricane rated for our insurance. They said they couldn't find the old owners in their system so we gave them the builders name who did the renovations they didn't have them either. After my husband calling multiple times he finally said that we will pay someone to come out and look at our shutters to tell us if they are rated.

Lousy service From reviews I see that most ppl get a service appointment within a week. I waited a month and then they cancelled the morning of. They said I would have to wait another month for an appointment. The whole problem stems from the fact that they didn't do something on a hurricane curtain that we asked them to do. They have our $$$ and now we are at their mercy once again. When a company cancels an appointment they usually will fit you in sooner rather than later. Not ECS

I called them approximately 2 weeks ago and spoke with the receptionist/scheduler. She took my information and told me a salesperson would be calling me within the next day or so to schedule an onsite assessment/estimate. To date I have not received a call from their salesperson. Based on this and the other issues noted in the other reviews here on Google, I think I'll move on and try to find a company who is interested in working, and who can handle the simple task of returning a call.

We hired this company to take our shutters down for construction work. They charged us three times the estimate to do the work. They did too much metal cutting and do not have the right tools to properly remove all the hardware which we had to remove. Previous to that they did a repair on one of the shutters which lasted 2 days because it was repaired so poorly. These are just facts.

VERY unprofessional office staff. Extremely rude. Can't keep their schedule straight. I was lied to several times. Workers tried to get away with leaving damage on my shutters by telling me they would fix it and then didn't, thinking I wouldn't check. I did and had to call them to come back. I do not recommend this company at all.

I hired East Coast Shutters to install Bahama shutters on two houses I own. The first time should have taught me a lesson to NOT hire them again. Although the shutters appear to be very well constructed, the customer service in nearly non-existent. In both cases, it took at least two months to even get the shutters made, and scheduling installation took longer. In all, it was about two months from ordering to installation. And the excuse they gave me BOTH times was "well, we're in hurricane season and everyone is wanting them now." However, in both cases, I ordered them a month

East Coast Shutters failed to show up to install storm shutters prior to Hurricane Matthew. We contracted them to inspect our existing panels, and provide installation in the event of a hurricane. They were paid in full. They failed to show up, and left us hanging for the storm, in spite of our repeated requests for help. They have failed to return our calls, and failed to issue a refund for their breach of contract.

The installer did a good job. Fully explained what he was doing and demonstrated the shutter. My only suggestion would be to improve communication between the office and the installer. I was told I had a noon appointment. Since I had to leave work to be there, I asked that they call me if there was any delay. I call at 12:30 to find out where my installer was. I was told I was next on the list. About 15 minutes later, the installer called saying he was on the way (but about a half hour away). When he arrived he saw I was annoyed so he asked me why.
