I wish i could give this place a 0. Unfortunately this is the WORST place to send a love one, i am extremely worried for anyone that is in there. The head nurse Michelle, should not be in her position or have a nursing license. Her attitude and the way she speaks to people is beyond me. They do not take care of your loved one and they only want a pay day. Medicine is not given at recommend time, its given when convenient for them. Medicine is given without consent of a doctor, and left off charts so the doctor doest know. I could post pictures and tell you everything that happened but that could

BE AWARE! I was discriminated against and denied entry into the building even after providing proof of vaccination and passing a temperature screening. I was told to exit the building and that I was not authorized to enter. I am a NYS licensed funeral director that came there to pick up a decedent. If I am not authorized, who is? The administration was aware I was on the way because they asked me to call prior to arrival due to the fact that the Dept. of Health was in the building. I don’t know what the coverup was about. There’s something sketchy about this place. I’ve been in countless

Mother went there after a car accident to rehab her knee.
Put on over 40 pounds as they do not have any diabetic freindly meal options.
The place is run down on the inside and many of the residents sit in the hallway waiting a long time for a nurse due to understaffing.
They claimed to accept no fault insurance but, In fact, do not and have since sent large bills to my mother despite me meeting with them day 1 to ensure she was covered for her stay and repeatedly requesting to be told if the money runs out to be informed as to not be charged.
The staff is nice however, The ones that can be

I chose Sunrise Manor for my Grandmother who needed extensive rehab after her hip replacement. I’ve heard wonderful things about the facility from past residents and their families. I must say they were 100% correct. This was the best decision I’ve made. My Grandmother greatly enjoyed her stay and returned home very quickly. The staff are wonderful and caring and the facility has a very warm, homelike environment. Thank you to everyone for making my Grandmothers stay so enjoyable and treating her so well. God bless you all.

My Mom needed rehab after a hospital stay and we chose Sunrise Manor on account of the wonderful things we heard from past residents and families. We are so happy we did choose this facility. The entire experience was wonderful and they got Mom back to her feet and home in no time. They go above and beyond to ensure each resident is satisfied. Thank you to the entire team at Sunrise for taking such good care of my Mom! Love, Joelle.

I stayed at Sunrise after a total hip replacement for rehabilitation. When I arrived I was taken to a room occupied for 3 other men and my bed had no curtain. I refused to stay there and was put in a semi private room.
My stay there was a total nightmare. From aides who screamed at me and refused to give me a gown to substandard food i would not feed to a stray dog.
When I asked to see a head nurse, she never came. The next day she told me it was near quitting time and she was too tired to come into my room. Another head nurse called "Miss Thomas' , wearing a bad wig could be quite unpleasant

The biggest mistake of my life was to bring my own mom to this Hell Place. The smell of urine all over inside the place, the dirty, the pampers, how unprofessional every single person is, starting from the so called doctors from another planet and the nurse general supervisor. This is where my mom fell several times and got her leg infection due to a Medical Negligence according to Doctors from Southside Hospital.
