Services
Many conditions can lead to a need for significant rehabilitation before a hospital patient can be released to resume living at home. Causes can include trauma, disease, stroke, surgery or any of a number of chronic conditions that affect function by affecting mobility or cognitive abilities. The Hempstead Park approach to rehabilitation is to safely support renewed independence toward greater quality of life.
At Hempstead Park Nursing Home, we make decisions concerning the long-term care of loved ones easier and more secure, allowing residents and their families to feel confident that they have made the best choice. Quality of life comes as a direct result of quality of care.

We have built our sterling reputation on providing the compassionate care and comprehensive services our residents need to live in comfort and security, knowing they have the full support of our staff. We offer 24/7 skilled nursing and personal assistance, an exciting array of stimulating social, educational and recreational activities, restaurant-style dining, full amenities and comfortable accommodations.
While we solemnly believe that all our residents are special, some are in need of programs that are more off the beaten path than typical short-term rehab or long-term skilled nursing care. It is for these residents that we have developed our specialty programs. To promote positive long-term prognosis, problem-free recovery and give added comfort and healing, we offer the following state-of-the-art programs.
At Hempstead Park, we choose to match general quality of life to the standard of our medical care, and that standard is high. We believe that a joyful life can only happen when the setting is all-inclusive. Our residents can choose from a plethora of both recreational and social programming according to their own preferences.

The facility makes daily automated phone calls to residents' family/friends, letting them know if a confirmed covid case is identified in the facility. This has shown to be an efficient way of maintaining strong communication with residents' loved ones.

During this pandemic the staff at Hempstead Park have been like a second family to me and my mother. They are caring compassionate and always communicating. I'm thankful that she is there.

Do not, I repeat DO NOT put your loved ones here. This place is a dump. The nurses are incompetent and no one knows what they are doing. My aunt developed bed sores in there and they act like no one knows what they are doing. When you call you can never find anyone to answer the phone.

Although far from the Ritz Carlton, my dad has been here almost three years now and he is very happy with the care that he gets. Through Medicaid we don’t pay much for him to live there. The staff has really gone above and beyond to help my family. I’m honestly surprised to see so many poor reviews. Yes, it’s gross and run down. Honestly there’s no place I’d rather NOT have to go, But they service and take good care of the poor that need help. And thats really all that matters.

What a horrible and dirty place. I do not know what nursing home is pictured on their web site...but it is not Hempstead Park! The care is haphazard and lazy, the furniture is so worn and filthy that I have to put a newspaper down to sit on it during a visit. This nursing home version of remodeling rooms (as is touted on the web site) a fresh coat of paint and having the floors waxed.
Simple basic needs are not taken care of by the nurses aides for patients who can not do for themselves, there is always an excuse. Medical care is not provided in a timely fashion and then there are five different

The Nurses were nice to my father when he was there for a cracked hip, they get props. HOWEVER, the doctors leave a lot to be desired...they are dismissive, inattentive and definitely in it for profit. My father was convinced by his attending in the hospital to go here and nothing went right after that. I had to call several times just to get an update, with my Healthcare Proxy sent to them by me so they could locate it in their files! Doctors infrequently checked up on him, only when I called and made a stink as to how he was doing. We were told he could travel when he couldn't, when we tried
