Beach Terrace Care Center

The Rehabilitation Team at Beach Terrace brings hope, perseverance, resourcefulness, creativity and dedication to our residents. We enable residents to take back control and aim for independence. Success is due to our team approach. We work to motivate our residents so that they want to succeed. Together we find ways to adapt function to their abilities and to help them achieve more than they thought they would.

Beach Terrace Care Center proudly houses a 79-bed Neurobehavioral Unit. It is the mission of our program to provide rehabilitation services to individuals with significant behavioral difficulties resulting from neurological impairment. Our program's goal is to deliver care in a safe, nurturing, therapeutic environment to assist our residents in reclaiming a place in society.

Beach Terrace has twelve staff members in our recreation department. They run six programs at the same time to meet the needs of the different types of residents we serve. Programs change every 45 minutes throughout the day, from 9:45 AM, ending with a movie or another activity at 6:15PM. This way there is no lack of things to do.

We have a tremendous amount of pride in the nutritious meals served from our kitchen that meets the nutritional needs and preferences of our residents. Dietary requirements are very important, and our two registered dietitians review what each resident needs for necessary nutrition, work with families and residents to tailor food choices to what each resident likes, and develop an individualized menu plan.
