We understand that accidents can happen on vacation. In case they do, we offer a Vacation Rental Damage insurance plan which can cover the cost of accidental damages to the rental. The cost is $45. If purchased, the policy will pay a maximum benefit of $3,000.00. In lieu of purchasing this insurance, you have the option of paying a security deposit in the amount of $1,000.

We stayed at the Hayloft for 3 nights. It was AWESOME. Clean as could be. My girlfriend LOVED the soap. The bed was extremely soft and comfortable- better than mine at home. We sat on the love seat and watched the Winter Olympics each night. Perfectly comfortable couch. The hot tub is amazing (the lid was saturated and heavy, but no biggie). The place is on someone's property, but they were invisible. The way the loft is oriented, it is very private. I couldn't in a million years think that a hotel room in Ft. Bragg could even come close to this place. I will be back!

This reservation nearly ruined our vacation. It was fairly cute, and fairly clean. I would say VERY clean, but there were nasty soot marks from the top of the fireplace to the ceiling and all over the ceiling. This made me afraid to use the 3 DuraFlame logs that were kindly provided lest we die of smoke inhalation.
We noticed the note that said there should be "fresh fruit, oranges for the juicer and muffins" we saw, an empty fruit basket and no muffins. OK slightly disappointing but whatever at least there was coffee in the refrigerator and plenty of pots, pans, silverware, plates etc

If you want special lodging for a weekend getaway to mendocino, i highly highly recommend the hayloft apartment offered by mendocino preferred lodging. not necessarily for the budget minded traveler at a little under $200 a night, but if you are willing to splurge a bit, you won't regret it.
the apartment is nestled in the woods far away from the center of activity so it is very quiet and secluded. it literally has everything. i was completely impressed by my stay there. sure they had a hot tub overlooking the forest...but it was on and ready when we arrived. sure they had a fireplace..
