Tokyo Japanese & Chinese Restaurant

Not high-end sushi or chinese. But everything was a good quality and presented well. Could have been a little more flavorful. But I got exactly what I ordered. Pick up was organized and nothing was left off the order. Thank you

Quick service. Good is always great. Love Tampa and Mexican sushi rolls. Edamame are always nice and hot.

Wrong order 2 times in a row. Food not at a quality of a restaurant. Delivery is worse. Will never order here again no matter how local. I would bet kitchen not even clean. Cuz the fryers prove it in the food.

They ABSOLUTELY need CLEANILESS and more HYGIENE and sanitary measures of course!
Went there yesterday, first of all the place is not clean at all, but I thought maybe with the food they are clean, so I ordered two meals and the drinks to take away, when I got home in my fried rice I found a short black hair, so I said, Ok, this can happen, so then I realized there where 4 more hairs in my plate, this is something I cant tolerate, and I even think how the kitchen is if this happened. Very disappointing, the food wasn't great either and changed a lot from 2-3 years ago to here. I will never go

Honestly wasn't great. My partner got sushi and everything was good except that the wasabi wasn't spicy and it was pretty much just green play dough. My salmon bento was 40% salad, 30% white rice, 15% gyoza and the salmon... oh it might as well have been over cooked fried cat food. It was insanely dry and you could whack it against the table. We also got the vegetable tempura which was okay but once you see the bottom of the container it is literally sitting in a puddle of grease. The only redeeming quality is that the lady who took our order was very sweet.

Sushi is 10/10. Fantastic taste, quantity, and value.

Been a long time customer of almost 5 years. Placed an order for chicken wings $10.00.Order placed get a call 5 minutes later a $12 min nothing on the website that states a minimum purchase for delivery. Tell the lady to look up my account I order 1 or twice a week for 5 years. Lady ignores me. I tell her your gonna lose my business over 2 dollars. Lady could care less i tell her I will never order again and hang up. Spend your money where they appreciate your business 💯.

A year ago I would have given this place a 4 star rating. Ever since the pandemic has killed restaurants this place has gone down with it. The quality control the last couple of months has been terrible. We usually put our orders in online and have it delivered. As of lately when we order sushi and a hot item they put the cold sushi on the bottom and the hot items on top of it which ruins the flavor of the sushi. We have asked them to separate the sushi and hot items into 2 bags and the instructions were ignored. Why even have an instruction box per item if the instructions will be ignored????

Alrighty let me give you a basic run down of this place.
Honestly, I thought that it was going to be an awful experience at first. However was brought to quickly realize how excellent the costumer service is, the staff are really nice and actually respect you for buying their food!
I will now say the the food here is TOP-NOTCH, the sushi here is the best I've had in YEARS!! Eating in here is an easy 5/5!

Ordered carry out late on a Sunday, it was very busy which usually means popular.

Food definitely spoke to its popularity. Really solid menu offerings. Ordered some off of the Japanese menu as well as Chinese. 5 piece sushi was good but definitely prepared prior to the order (not a big deal when still fresh)

Speed & price point are also good.

The food is great at Tokyo but it’s the people that own and work there that makes it our favorite. I’ve been bringing my daughter here since she was just a baby, she’s now 11. They treat her like royalty. Yang and everyone at Tokyo are truly nice people. This is the kind of place you want to spend your money.

Placed a take out order that ended up in eating in.
The place had quite reduced capacity inside, nonetheless the food was pretty decent and well portioned, definitely tasty and freshly made.
Not sure if the same ownership since then but I had visited back in 2004.

Amazing sushi! Fast friendly service! The restaurant is always clean and the lunch specials have great portions and great prices. The food is always fresh! Right now due to covid Tokyo is only doing take out style ordering, there is outside seating and a few tables inside.

I just moved to florida, so I have been trying a lot of new places. I ordered food from here and when I went to pick it up I got a little nervous. Because the building isn't the nicest but the food is so good. My boyfriend and I shared the honey chicken combo and the sesame chicken combo. I highly recommend both of those!! The staff was nice and quick!

I love their food. I've been here around five times already and every time i come back for their bagel tempura roll which is amazing. I really recommend everyone to try it out.

So I was craving sushi and didn't want to go far , found this spot on yelp. I thought it was really cool because they are a fusion of Japanese AND Chinese food. So I ordered a medley of items for Togo and ate back at home. These are my thoughts :

Gyozas : 12/10 perfectly cooked , tasted amazing , wish I got 2 orders

Mexican roll: super fresh , 10/10 , tasted amazing and great price

Lo mein : I wasn't to sold in the lo mein unfortunately. It didn't taste bad , but it wasn't something I would go back for. I would rate 6/10

So my taste buds leaned more towards the Japanese

Very nice affordable food! Large portions overall with a very sweet staff who welcomed us. No dining in option at the moment but there's a patio outside where they let you stay. I had the Benhana and Dragon Rolls, it was delicious and fresh.

My boyfriend ordered chicken Kung Pao a few weeks ago and it was spicy and delicious. I ordered it again two weeks later and it doesn't taste the same. I have plain white chicken pieces and some that were sautéed properly. Feels like they just threw in some random pieces at the end.

Before this, I had chicken and broccoli and some pieces of the chicken were hard. I guess I never know what I'm going to get. The food isn't cooked consistently. There are other places that provide consistent quality. This place just doesn't. Won't be ordering there again.

We ordered through Door Dash and the food was terrible. The lomein was greasy and just a few small pieces of chicken in it. Sweet and sour chicken appeared to be deep fried while frozen as chicken was texture of shoe laces and sweet and sour sauce was not more then a quarter cup for 2 orders. We will not be ordering from here again.

Great fresh and hot Japanese food. The Mongolian beef lunch was perfect. They have sake and beer. Very nice menu selection. Currently, you may sit at the covered outdoor patio or take out. This place is next door to a wing place. I've always wanted to try it and am so very happy I did today. A very generous lunch portion that included a side and a soup. Delicious and great prices. I will definitely come here again.

Hubby and I ordered delivery through DoorDash. Our food was delivered quickly and was very fresh. The pork fried rice was some of the best I've had. We shared the sweet & sour chicken and General Tso chicken. You can choose the heat level of the General Tso we went with hot. The pork egg roll was very good as well. We want to visit the restaurant once this quarantine is over.

It's really bad when you charge extra to substitute a veggie egg roll because you don't eat pork.

The food I got was pretty good though. I'm a regular customer. I don't go as often as I used to though. A few members of the staff are a little unpleasant at times. And there always seem to be a ton of folks working each time I visit. Too bad they're not a bit more customer experience focused.

I'm a stickler for good service though.

This my number one spot to come and get sushi and Chinese food at the same time. They have a whole new menu setup and it looks awesome. Come check out Tokyo for lunch or dinner I'm sure you'll love it. Or get delivery super fast from them!

I've been attending for years, especially when I worked close by. I normally order the fried dumplings, boneless spare ribs, and also the Mexican and California rolls. Their food is cost efficient and as yummy as it gets. I've been at my job for 9 years, and I've always ordered from them....that says alot.
