A single mom, trying to make ends meet, found herself up in the wee hours of the night, seven days a week filling orders in her kitchen.

The cupcakes are amazing and the cake decorations are good. Unless you are making a big cake order they are not friendly. I went in with my mom to get a cupcake because we were in the area and they got quiet and stared us down like we were shop lifters or something. Most uncomfortable situation I have ever been in and I will not be returning. Not worth it I know other bakery's that will do just as good as a job and be great with customer service even if you aren't placing a huge order.

I emailed Kake Korner a photo of a cake I saw on the web for my birthday.
I received a prompt response, eventhough it was after hours...
I beyond please with my birthday cake. It looks much better than the photo I emailed.
The flavor was lemon and vanilla.
Now, you know you have done well when my picky cousin ask for a second serving and some to go.

So.... I think I found a new bakery. A coworker told me about Kake Korner years ago. They made a beautiful cake for a bridal party. That being said, I'm from the Northeast and I have struggled for years to find a bakery that lives up to my exacting standards. For my daughter's birthday, she wanted a Hello Kitty cake and my first thought was oh God, where am I going to find a place that can make what she wants and the cake itself actually taste good. Kake Korner made my sons 5th birthday party very special. I went in on a Saturday afternoon, the place was a little busy. The customer service was awesome. They offered me to take samples of their lemon, strawberry, yellow, and chocolate cake. To my surprise they all taste very good. My favorite was the strawberry and lemon. Since I was doing a three tier cake, I picked the yellow cake for the bottom tier, Strawberry for the middle tier, and lemon for the top tier. The theme for my sons birthday party was Toy Story 1. You have not experienced cupcake heaven until you've had a cupcake from Kake Korner. I just happened to stumble up on this place in Laurel MD. I was able to get the Tuesday Special....buy 2 cupcakes, get one free.
The staff were very friendly. I was able to sample the red velvet and chocolate cakes before purchasing. The snickerdoodle cupcake!!!! OMG!! It was delicious. The cupcakes are nice and moist, very flavorful.
In other reviews, I've mentioned my son's allergies and they were very accommodating, packaging his cupcake separate from the others with nuts.

You will not be disappointed! The cake corner are true professionals and master of their craft. I ordered my wedding cake from them and not only was it beautiful it was so delicious. My experience was wonderful. The only thing I can say there is not seating area for proper tasting, so be prepared to stand and eat a cup cake for your tasting experience. Also know what you want they dont really make many suggestions the just ask for the details of what you want and a pic. But you can bet your bottom dollar they will execute the task. I will definitely return.

I visit KK for the cupcakes frequently! I can never get just one! I am always order 6 or 12, a few for me and a few to share! I love the variety and the freshness of the cupcakes.
They also have premade cakes ready for a name and decorating. The team is always excited to see you walk through the door.

We used Kake Korner for our September wedding and we could not be more pleased with the result. We had 200 people attend our event and the team at Kake Korner worked with us to find the best option for our budget and still ensure that we had enough to feed all of our guests. We wanted something simple yet elegant and they certainly came through with our spatulated cake design and you can't even tell that only the bottom tier is real ;-)

I had my daughter’s first birthday smash cake and guest cake made here and they did an amazing job! The cake was so moist and everyone kept asking us where we had it made! If you haven’t tried Kake Korner, you MUST do so! They even called a couple days after our event to make sure we were satisfied ! And customer service was great! I will be purchasing all my future cakes and cupcakes from here!
