What has impacted your hearing over the course of your life? A complete case history will clue us in on this and will also help identify whether any treatable medical conditions are present, the cause of any hearing or ear-related problems, and the impact of such issues on your daily activities and quality of life.
We actually hear with our brain, not our ears. Our ears simply send sounds we hear to our brain which then categorizes those sounds into useful information. If you have been diagnosed with a hearing loss in your cochlea (the most common type), the only way to get speech sounds back to your brain is through hearing aids.
Many people experience a gradual worsening of hearing over many months or years. Unlike a first experience in wearing eye glasses, re-learning how to hear again takes time. Have patience as it is a process. Dr. Battat will help guide your journey to help you hear your best.
In addition to completing a comprehensive hearing examination, Dr. Battat completes an evidence-based Communication Needs Assessment to determine what brand, style, and level of hearing aids best meet your individual, communicative needs and lifestyle.

In the event your hearing aid stops working properly or becomes damaged, our office is capable of handling numerous repairs on-site, which means less waiting time for you! We're happy to help. At Oracle Hearing Center, we know how important it is to stay active with friends, family, and coworkers. We can deep clean, repair, reprogram, and optimize your current devices from almost all manufacturers for a service fee.

I’ve been neglecting writing this review because I can’t put into words how appreciative I am for Dr. Battat. My daughter has been an audiology patient at CHOP since she was a newborn and it is so refreshing to be in a stable place and finally able to choose a provider where the experience is as stress free and comfortable for not only my 7yo daughter but equally important, myself. Hearing issues? Hearing aid issues? If a complete and thorough assessment and resolution has been what you're looking for then look no further. Dr. Battat fulfills that need and does so in a caring, personal and highly qualified manner. Her approach considers the least involved technique first, before progressing to more sophisticated (and costly) possible prosthetics and latest technology solutions. Have been seeing her for years. I find her to be the best audiologist I have ever had she is number 5. Very attentive to see that I am hearing the best I can offers a great line and choice of hearing aides and sees everything is working together

Dr. Battat is attentive, smart, and thorough. She listens to my concerns and clarifies what I am trying to say. She has been my audiologist for over four years during which she has worked with me to ensure I could hear as well as possible in different settings. I have just decided to get new hearing aids to combat further hearing deterioration, and I am looking forward to using the new technology she has introduced me to.
