A hearing aid is a small electrical device designed to make sounds louder to improve an individual's ability to hear. A hearing test often comprises a series of tests and provides an evaluation of the sensitivity of a person's sense of hearing and middle ear function. Tinnitus is a symptom of hearing loss.
Hearing loss is a sudden or gradual decrease in how well you can hear. It is one of the most common conditions affecting older and elderly adults. Having trouble hearing can make it hard to understand and follow a doctor's advice, to respond to warnings, and to hear doorbells and alarms. It can also make it hard to enjoy talking with friends and family.
Our office will contact you the day prior to your appointment to confirm the appointment time. If you're new to our office, you might be wondering what's involved in your visit. At your first visit, the audiologist will begin by asking questions that pertain to your ears and hearing. This is so we can collect as much information about your condition as possible.
