Massasia Christine
My therapeutic approach to anxiety, depression, and life transitions blends cognitive-behavioral, psychodynamic, and mindfulness meditation theories and is tailored to the needs of each therapy client with empathy and compassion. I specialize in traditional therapy as well as cutting edge mindfulness meditation therapy with adolescents, adults, and couples in and around the Lexington, MA area.

The heart of my practice is a mindfulness based social work foundation that uses a bio-psycho-social framework to contextualize how best to address human suffering and dis-ease. With intention, our therapeutic work will explore how to practice living a more authentic, gratifying, and meaningful life with more self-acceptance.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) informs the therapeutic process by actively examining how our thoughts, emotions, and behavior affect one another. Exploring how we think, what we feel, and what we do provides insight into our negative thought patterns that impede our ability to respond in an effective way.
Out-of-network provider for clients with PPO insurance plans. If you have Cigna, Aetna, BCBS, United Behavioral Health, Tufts, or Harvard Pilgrim Health Insurance, a portion of the fee is typically reimbursed after the out of network deductible is paid. There are times when you may elect to pay out of pocket and avoid the requirements of insurance companies, most notably the need to be assigned a psychiatric diagnosis.
