Freedom Mortgage acquired my loan from my previous lender which I was very happy with. Since they assumed my loan my mortgage payment went up almost $500 a month AND they failed to pay my hazard insurance so my provider dropped me due to non payment. They refused to reinstate me since Freedom Mortgage attempted to pay my premium after my policy had been canceled due to non payment. Now I'm being threatened with a more expensive insurance and less coverage, courtesy of Freedom Mortgage. Also, since my policy lapsed due to Freedom Mortgage's negligence, I'm having a hard time finding coverage. Now I'm being informed I have to have TWO policies, including one for fire coverage. Freedom Mortgage informed me that they counseled the gentleman who paid my insurance late, however, that does not assist me in recouping the cost of a more expensive policy due to their negligence.

THE WORST COMPANY TO GET A LOAN FROM!!
They have messed my paper work so many time, lost it, and just ignore my me.
Currently we are try to refinance, all our paperwork is in and we are waiting on them to do there part, as predicted they have not sent the paper work to the refinancer. Now we are very close to loosing our rate on the loan. There should be a law against this.

Absolutely the worst company you can ever do business with. They offered a streamline refi on my mortgage they already owned. After I signed all the paperwork and paid closing costs, they told me to skip one month payment and start making payments to the new account number. I did exactly what they said, but they never processed the refi. They kept my closing costs and are trying to charge late fees, despite the fact I've been paying on the new account number they gave me.

Really poor customer service. If you are looking for a new loan, I would suggest you look to another company.
My mortgage unfortunately was sold to them, and I have no choice but to remain. When they purchased the loan, they had the wrong address on file for me, so I never got notification that they purchased my loan. Long story short, I ended up missing a payment due to them having the wrong address then promptly paid them in full and setup a direct deposit so it wouldn't be a problem. But they still reported the missed payment to my credit bureau and it ended up lowering my credit

Kim J, they're no better once they have the mortgage. They bought my mortgage from another company. In the four months since that purchase, the following happened:
They couldn't collect my first payment or even give me an account number until two weeks after my payment was due.
They got the amount of my mortgage balance wrong and cannot correct it.
They said they would force place insurance on my property because I didn't have any (wrong).
They informed me they don't support paperless/online billing. Seriously?
They repeatedly (at least twice a month) call me to take out

The level of incompetence is staggering. I contacted Freedom Mortgage to discuss refinancing two rental duplexes I have in Oklahoma. My plan was to refinance my residence here, take out $65,000, and put that money into the two properties in Oklahoma and refinance them to increase overall cash flow. Freedom Mortgage told me the interest rate would 5.12% with no closing costs. I began both refinances, my residence with another lender and the two duplexes with Freedom. About two weeks into the process, Freedom contacted me and said they were going to stop the refinances on the two rentals, until
