They required me to install an electric shutter over my sliding glass doors in my back door, I lived in Europe for seven years and I know that this is not necessary they could have done it with a manual strap however the company refused to. So that was an additional 600+ dollar expense. Then the manual crank method was much more difficult to use for raising and lowering the Rollodens on my windows than was demonstrated in the initial video/planning stage. Disappointing that Rolladen does not stand by their product. I purchased my 2nd shutter from Rolladen for a sliding glass door. The first shutter has always performed well with no issues at all.
Shortly after the 2nd shutter was installed I experienced issues, mainly loud noises as it rolled up or down. Eventually it got worse and stopped working (not motor related). I called Rolladen and they came out and fixed it. The shutter still didn't roll up or down properly. I called the office and they said the shutters are designed to be used often. I started to open and close the shutters as often

We had our rolladen shutters for a little over 5 years. We always have problems with them. My brother has Nevada rolling shutters and they work great and they are about two years older than mine. I will not put any more money into our rolladen shutters. I will replace them with Nevada rolling shutters.

I work all day so I have tried to leave a message for them to call me. All I get is "goodbye", no ability to leave a message. I need a repair but will call the other guys since they have an answering service and PROMPTLY get back with you.
I have had the shutters for a number of years and have been satisfied with the product but will not keep trying to leave a message when the message rudely cuts me off.

This company doesn't stand behind their product. Within 2 years of install the shutters and motors started breaking and the electrical box above the shutter is making a very loud buzzing sound every ten minutes. The electrical box doesnt even have its own circuit breaker to turn off. There's no way to shut the power to these without turning off all the electricity to the entire house. Poor planning/install + poor quality product.

My outrage is that a 5 year warranty for a motor was not honored.
All windows and sliding door had initial installation of Rolladen in March 2017.
I purchased the house in August of 2017.
I paid in excess of $700.00 to replace one motor.
Does the manufacturer of the motor really insist that only original customers receive warranties, or is this extra greed?
It took 21 days from initial service request to completion.
I have no qualms with technicians, they were prompt, courteous and efficient

Company was great putting the shutters in but if you need repairs beware it's not going to be a good experience. We got an expensive crank shutter ($1800) for my sons room, he has severe autism, so he would be safe and not fall 2 stories. We had the shutter for 7 years with no issues, then it was not working right. I called and it took 2 weeks for someone to come out. The guy told me nothing was wrong and i still had to pay $120 fee. It was still not working right but I just put a lot more effort into opening and closing it. Now it completely broken and won't shut. I called and explained but since

We had a horrible experience with Rolladen, they tried cutting corners on the materials until we asked them about the poor work of the installation of the rolling shutter that we had installed. It took 3 trips to complete the installation. I will not refer anyone. I would not want anyone to get treated like we did. They do not have any customer service skills.

Our front door is blocked by a broken rolladen shutter that broke in the down position. I called rolladen, and they said it would be “about” three weeks until they could fix it, but they would put it on their urgent list and call me back. After three days, I called back to see if they had put me on the schedule. The customer service representative told me “I haven’t had time yet to sit down and make the schedule”. He was very courteous and conscientious about warring his mask and social distancing during the entire process as well as their installers!

We have had 7 electrically operated Rolladen for a number of years. About once per year, one of the shutters needs repair. We call for service and about a week later, someone turns up to repair it at a cost of a service call plus parts - if any.
A couple of weeks ago, the shutter covering a sliding glass door stopped working. The first repairman said we needed a new motor - approximately $500. The second repair man said the motor is fine and we need new slats at a cost of $1000+.
We tried to discuss the situation with the owner but she was on vacation. Eventually

Great work from the tech...After 9 years using the shutters daily an issue developed that was the home owners fault. The patio umbrella was open and leaned against the top of the Rolladen. Someone inside the house was trying to close the shutter but it could not come down since the leaning umbrella was preventing the closing. Lucky us, the motor did not burn out. The whole shutter had to be taking out and screws needed replacing. Now it work like it always had.

Real security! I love how they look and how durable they are. There is actually an option to have them open partially to let linger in and still have the security when I'm at home. When I called, they put me on a schedule to be scheduled for service ( I never heard of that one before). Anyway, 2 weeks later I received a call to set up service for the following week. I set up a service call date and time and the technicians were there on time. The technicians troubleshoot the problem and set up a date and time to come back to finish the work. I waited all day

Okay. Here it goes again. This is the second home I had shutters installed with Rolladen. They are the best company for service. Period. Craig and Paul came out to install. It is back breaking work. They are accurate and friendly. They did a great job. Extremely competent and were on time. They answer all your questions. Love these blinds so I got them in for the second time.
Tad came back to put an emergency handle out my back slider. He was excellent. He was efficient and again, helpful.

One of my shutters wasn't working after having leased the house out to tenants for a few years. The motor ran but no action. These shutters are probably 25 years old at least and in this 50 yr. old house all I get from repairmen is the same answer, "'They don't make those parts anymore."
