In 1988, Paymon Raouf opened a small cafe featuring Middle Eastern delights that paired well with his robust Arabic coffee. It quickly grew into an intimate local spot attracting diners looking for an ethnic cultural experience not readily in Las Vegas at the time.
Since then, it evolved in many ways as an independent operator featuring not only great tasting dishes and libations, but doing them with a health-conscious approach, avoiding trans, artificial additives and preservatives, limiting saturated fats while also presenting delicious vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free dishes long before the terms broke into the public consciousness.

Breaded rings only, fried and topped with parmesan cheese and served with spicy marinara sauce. Beer battered fried fish with cabbage, Pico de Gallo, mango, chipotle aioli on softshell corn tacos. An incredibly tasty mixture of lean ground beef, Italian sausage, fresh herbs in marinara sauce. Your choice of traditional Buffalo Sauce, Hickory BBQ, Mango Habanero, or Garlic-Parmesan.

We loved this place and we go weekly and last night at 8 had a horrible experience.. Took my older kids 3 of them youngest twenty and because he didn't hv his license we couldn't dine .. Apparently in an hour the place turns into a club .. We only wanted 5 meals and never ever were asked by the hateful server if we wanted it to go since we couldn't stay .. The place was slow and tables all moved around and took her 10 mins to seat us and we all offered the amazing tea but then could not stay ,, My husband use to teach Paymons daughter piano lessons and we try to go to dine several

Paymon's is a great place. The decor is very beautiful and exotic. And, the food is great. Delicious.
I came here with my mother and we have been here many times before. The hummus was perfect and their pita bread is the best kind of pita that there is. My mom had a Gyro with delicious seasoned french fries and I had a Greek chicken scallopini which was amazing! Lots of artichokes which I love.
And for dessert we got the tiramisu which was very authentic with the ladyfingers and mascarpone. Definitely give it a try!

After many years passing by, decided to try. We were delightfully surprised. Great authentic atmosphere. We had so much delicious food we were so stuffed. We tried the sampler appetizer platter that was so good and so much food. Hummus, stuffed grape leaves, falafel and more. Onto the chicken tandoori, so good. For dessert a giant baklava and delicious rice pudding. Service was fantastic. Will definitely be back.

Paymon's was great, love the nice cozy feel and the food was amazing. Service was top notch, our party of 6 had plenty of space for seating and eating. Our host kept our drinks filled and even came by after we where done eating. Now let's talk food, everything looked soooo good and tasted just as good as it look. I was amazed at how much they gave us. Overall this is a great place for some amazing Mediterranean delicacies. Definitely recommend. Also I just want to give a nod to the drink portion of the menu and the fact they had the beers listed with there place of origin. Loved seeing St. Louis

Good food and drinks. Beware of happy hour pricing. We told our server multiple times that we were ordering within the happy hour window on items for our group. It wasn't until the bill came that we were told that you have to sit on the other side of the building to get those prices. That was a less than pleasant surprise at the end of an otherwise enjoyable time.

I love Paymon's. Its one of my staple Mediterranean restaurants we have frequented for decades, no exaggeration. It used to be the Mediterranean Cafe in the 80s/90s then the owner (Sweet Paymon, got to meet him once) explained that someone else used their name, so they changed it. Okay the food!!!

I've always heard decent things about Paymons. It's been around for quite some time. I came for lunch with my parents and it was extremely busy. I saw this as a good sign, of course.
For food, I ordered the lamb burger. The lamb burger was okay. I prefer a cheddar cheese to go with the burger instead of white cheese. My mom ordered a kale salad which was pretty good and flavorful. Food was good!

I'm a regular at this location, every time i come in at an earlier time where the server Ben is in, not only
Is the service trash but also the food doesn't come out the best. The server had my food waiting for 20minutes, by the time he brought it over it was cold. Never checks on the guest to refill beverages, or asks if we need anything else. He drops the food and you wont see him again until the bill is ready. The tables outside are never cleaned up. This is everytime I come that hes here. I asked another server to take over and she wasnt suprised at all.

Came in on a Friday night and the place was vibing.
Great music, big area for dancing, service was attentive and friendly.
We grabbed 2 hookahs with 2 different shisha flavors (my favorite was the rose vanilla).
Food was delicious too and my lamb burger was perfectly cooked.
Excellent atmosphere with great decor and chill booths to lounge in.
Definitely will be back!

I have eaten here many times but never did a review.
Sunday (9/26/21), 3:00-ish pm, for 5-persons. I brought my 3 cousins and a friend for late lunch, all were, 1st time customers. Only a fewer than 4 table's being used. Didn't get greeted right away. Once, we were greeted, still had to wait for a table. When, Waitress came, she seemed nice. Also, patient, while 5 persons decided on their order.
When the bill came, by that time, 2 tables left. No one came to get the charging slip, from me. Saw 2 girls talking at the register. Another, worker walked by but no one picked up

Always an EXCEPTIONALLY friendly staff and superb meal!
I've been a fan of Paymon's since 2012, when I was a graduate assistant at UNLV and they catered a meal for my World Culture & Cuisine class of 100 students. Their team thoroughly educated students on Mediterranean cuisine and made the meal an experience they did not forget. Students loved the food and rated it the BEST presentation of the semester.
Do yourself a favor and check them out!

I sadly have to change my 5 star review. The last 3 times the food preparation was not good. The taste is still great. We brought family who visited from out of town and the meat was so overcooked that it was to dry to eat. After we mentioned it, the steak kabob was replaced but now it was raw and cold in the center.
Everyone has the right to a bad day. A week later we brought friends with us. The food was cooked correctly but cold. Only the vegetables were warm. It's a problem for us bringing friends and family and the food is not what we promised them.

You can always expect quality food from Paymon's. Their happy hour is incredible both in terms of price as well as deliciousness.
Service could be better at this location. I'll blame covid and revisit this review down the line. This feels like one of those places where they're here to serve you but they're not excited to do it.
When I'm on this side of town, I'm happy to visit for the food, not the experience.
