D. is a trained Clinical Neuropsychologist who has worked at Neuropsychological Services of Westchester (NSW) since 1995. Dr. Dunkle is a licensed Psychologist in New York State.

His responsibilities at NSW include performing neuropsychological assessments of both children and adults, interpreting those assessment results, designing appropriate assessment based treatment plans, and then coordinating, supervising and adapting the services in order to create an integrated treatment model. He also provides individual psychotherapy, family therapy, and group therapy.
This information can then be used to facilitate learning interventions and behavior modifications at home or in school. Our comprehensive Neuropsychological Evaluation provides the client with a current map of skills and challenges.

No matter the referral source the Neuropsychological Evaluation is a GPS into how to truly understand a person's cognitive style, how they perceive the world, and how to then help the person who obtains this valuable information. The Neuropsychological Evaluation is the initial step in assessing cognitive strengths and weaknesses.
When children experience learning difficulties in school, it can set the stage for life-long difficulties. Learning issues in school can affect self-esteem and expectations for performance, choices in friends, motivation for college, and choice of career. These early learning years are critical, not only for skill building, but for life.
With all the hype pertaining to Sports Concussions it is hard to know how to handle or manage it correctly in order to get the student athlete back to life, education, and eventually sport. Our treatment approach at NSW meets the needs of both the athlete and the parent at each phase of recovery. Depending on the severity of the concussion, NSW has various services that can assist in the recovery process.
