Chef Marla Mendelsohn offers private classes for individuals, couples and small groups in her Northern New Jersey professional kitchen or at her clients' homes. Classes are custom tailored to meet the interests and needs of each group. No matter your age or cooking experience, Marla offers cooking lessons and group classes for everyone.
Our culinary team building events bring business people together to improve communication, interaction and cooperation, to build morale and incite random bursts of laughter. The act of preparing good food together becomes the focus for sharing responsibility and appreciating each individual's contribution.
Cook with Marla virtually. During the pandemic, virtual cooking classes have become the thing to do! Think of the possibilities: bridal shower, bachelorette party, family dinner, anniversary celebration, baby shower, birthday party. We catered an outdoor beach party. Can you find the hosts' favorite dish?
The menu for each event is custom designed to meet the dietary, budgetary and palate preferences of each client. Specific requests can be accommodated. The cost is based on the venue selected and the menu desired, taking into account the food costs. The collaborative events have all of the guests working together in a collegial manner.

I enthusiastically endorse Cook Ease Catering for a fantastic hands-on cooking class experience. We decided the menu and Marla and her staff did an exceptional job of engaging the group in commentary, demonstration, and a few fun tips. Everyone had a fabulous time. Oh, and her space .. WOW!!!

Chef Marla was knowledgeable and personable. She made learning new recipes and cooking tricks fun and enjoyable. We had a private group of 8 join Marla in her kitchen. We devoured all the food and the huge bowl of pasta! Thank you for such a great experience and we can’t wait to come back for round 2!!!!

Marla is absolutely the nicest person on the planet! My sister and I took 2 classes with her and we made so many goodies! On the 1st day we made chicken wings and turkey sliders. On the 2nd day we made pasta from scratch and tiramisu. Her steps were simple and quick. She's super patient and always has a story to tell! Would def recommend taking a class with her and if you can getting your hands on her famous chocolate coffee cake recipe! :)

I recently participated in a private cooking event with Marla and it was a great time. The group of four of us learned a lot from Marla and thoroughly enjoyed her company, her beautiful home (and spacious, appointed kitchen) and of course the delicious meal we prepared. I highly recommend a Cook Ease event for a social or professional occasion as a fun, delicious, enjoyable way to bring people together and to learn some invaluable techniques along the way.
