It was started by Don Gonrowski and Pat Hoffert as an overhead door company providing 24 hour emergency service for commercial and residential garage door clients in the Portland/Metro area. Their goal over 30 years ago was to provide exceptional, timely service to all of Metro's customers, no matter how big or small.

Quoted a very reasonable price for replacing three openers. Technician arrived on time and was both friendly, knowledgeable, and had lots of good suggestions. He even helped my wife set up the remote in her car. The replacement of all three openers only took about three hours. I was also pleasantly surprised when they didn’t recommend the most expensive opener on the market. Definitely a five star operation.

Had Metro Vancouver provide and install 3 replacement wall-mounted, garage door buttons. Dealt with Corey via email and phone to inquire and get estimates. Very courteous and professional. Craig arrived right on time, was pleasant, professional, and informative. Work was completed in a timely fashion and all buttons worked.
We will have Metro be our go-to garage door service and repair company in the future. Reliability, caring and professionalism were the deciding factors for us.

I had a garage door issue at my house and Clint explained to me how to troubleshoot the problem when I went to pickup a wall switch. Clint explained that the issue was probably not the switch but an open circuit in the wiring. He talked me out of buying the switch and I was able to find the problem. Thanks Clint! I bought a couple of remotes while I was there. Megan had them all set up for programming. Thanks Megan. You guys earned a lifetime customer.🙂

Had to have a spring replaced on the garage door. Working on the phone with Bob, I received straight answers and a 90 minute time window for service today.
Nathan the tech showed up 25 minutes into the time window and spent 40 minutes doing his job.
Everyone was professional and pleasant. Price quoted on the phone is exactly what I paid....no issues at all. Good experience.
