After repainting the interior of my cottage studio, I needed to update my window covering for my only window. I knew I wanted shutters but decided to buy curtains instead. They looked awful! I called SF Shutters & Ted answered and said he could come the following day! It took about 8 weeks and they look amazing! the white on teal walls brightens up the space and really pops! Well worth the wait. It only took the installer about 30-40 mins to install them and I could not be happier. Excellent quality & service and the final price ended up being over $100 LESS than the quote I was given.

Needed our some of our shutters fixed since the company that installed them is not around anymore. Called San Francisco Shutters and spoke to the owner Ted to see if they could fix several broken ones. I must say, Ted is the friendliest business owner that we have ever met! Anyway, he told my husband to bring the broken shutters to his shop and see what he could do. He kept them there and fixed them for us! Also, he charged us such a reasonable rate! I definitely recommend SF Shutters for all your shutter needs!

I contacted SF Shutters regarding a repair on one of my shutter panels on the weekend following Thanksgiving. Even though they were closed for the holiday, I left a message to call me when they re-opened on Monday. I was pleasantly surprised that Ted called me back almost immediately.
When I described the repairs I thought were needed, he provided a few different options for me. I'm giving this company a two star rating because we have used this company in the past and they did good work, although they were pricey. We brought them back to have some shutters made for our living room and they came out and said they could handle the job and then just disappeared?! We called, emailed, and almost went to their showroom but never got a response. It was truly odd. We got frustrated and went to ShutterMart of San Mateo who were responsive, professional and quite honestly did a better job than SF Shutters had done in the past. They were also better priced. Will not use

I had a repair on a shutter panel that they took in and had back to me in less than 2 days- great work and super great customer service. If you are considering shutters, which are fabulous, go here! We are in our second home with shutters from San Francisco Shutters as I first discovered them in 1996 or 1997! Just recently I added them to a bathroom remodel and replaced the inferior shutters in my son's room. I have been incredibly happy with the quality and the look of these shutters!
Ted has great suggestions (listen to him). I have a hard time visualizing what something is going to look like when it's being described to me so I never know what I'm going to get. I have yet to be disappointed.

I was driving down 101 N to exit at Millbrae. Prior to reaching my exit I saw a business called San Francisco Shutters.
With that name and the location I knew I was going to be in for a sticker shock when I visited. Was I wrong. I dropped in to check out the offerings and explained that I was looking for shutters for my condo. The gentleman at the desk asked me questions to get an idea of what he should show me.
I knew based on the customer service and selection that I was going to be doing business with this company. It didn't stop there. When the representative came out to measure it

Love the work this company did at my home. Received several "it can't be done " responses from companies so much so, I had given up on the idea until a company gave me a glimmer of hope. These guys are the best. I ordered shutters from them in the summer - when they were ready to be installed, I discovered my double-paned windows had failed. Had to get new windows. SF Shutters recommended Alexander Windows in Burlingame & everything went smoothly. SF Shutters KINDLY delayed installation & stored my shutters till the windows were installed.
The shutters are PERFECT - installed professionally. Everybody at SF Shutters was kind & understanding - a real pleasure to work with.

Bar none one of the worst businesses I have ever worked with. I plead anyone not to even consider SF Shutters as a possibility. Shutter companies are a dime a dozen and I would advise anyone to go elsewhere before wasting your time here.
My wife and I spent over $16k on shutters for our home, only to have them made redundant by $20k in new windows we had installed. Our builder offered to reimburse us for new shutters, but SF Shutters would not answer my wife's phone calls, our builder, myself or anyone else for that matter in our attempts to have new ones made.

SF Shutters has been so disappointing! I ordered louvred doors for our bathroom mid-September. Both Wayne and Ted were very nice and seemed to be customer centered. When I hadn't heard anything by mid-November I called and spoke with Ted. I told him we were leaving for several months on Dec. 12 and he promised the doors would be delivered and installed before we left. Heard nothing more. When we got back last week, I called again, spoke with Wayne who is the owner. Doors had been delivered to them on Jan. 20. No call from them. No apology for how long this all took. If I could give zero stars, I would. I will never do business with this company again and would warn anyone away from them.
While the "seller" (Wayne, the owner) came and did his part of selling the deal, the follow through by his son was awful. We ordered two custom-sized shutters and both came with problems: the paint was dinged, the hinges installed on the wrong side, and finally, they didn't even fit into the window frames. This was the fault of both the father and son, but Wayne would never return my call, and his son barely took an interest, let alone responsibility. The installer
