NBJCH is honored to be recipient of the Best of the Best Southcoast Award two years running for 2019 & 2020! The New Bedford Jewish Convalescent Home is a non-profit, non-sectarian, skilled nursing facility that has provided exceptional nursing and rehabilitation care for over 50 years. In keeping with its founding principles, NBJCH embraces Jewish tradition and customs while welcoming people of all faiths.

Throughout the years our residents and their family members have been united in their praise of the quality of care and compassionate care delivery. NBJCH is a warm and welcoming place. In our caring environment residents are comfortable in their rooms and in the light and airy public spaces, especially our sitting room where families can gather to enjoy conversation and visits with their loved ones.

From the moment you step into our Home, you will see that we have succeeded in creating a welcoming place for residents and their families to enjoy each other's company. From our entrance, where families can gather in the comfortable sitting room, to our activity and therapy rooms, our focus remains on caring for the whole person.
At the New Bedford Jewish Convalescent Home, our outstanding nursing staff provide skilled nursing and rehabilitation care to both our short-term and long-term residents. Registered Nurses (RNs), Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) and Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) all play specific roles in the care of our residents and in promoting their self-worth, dignity and individuality.
NBJCH is honored to be recipient of the Best of the Best Southcoast Award two years running for 2019 & 2020! 2014 American College of Health Care Administrators Eli Pick Facility Leadership Award presented to NBJCH Administrator Rhonda Rego. Gold Seal of Approval from the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO).
At New Bedford Jewish Convalescent Home our close knit clinical and support team members all work together to ensure our home is a warm and welcoming place in which residents receive the finest care available delivered in a dignified and compassionate manner. From our facilities support team including maintenance, dietary, and housekeeping, to our hands on caregivers, we all believe our residents are the center of everything we do.
The Convalescent Home is a 501(c) 3 charitable organization. All donations are tax deductible to the fullest extent of the law. You may donate in many ways to support us.
